That dragon is absolutely horrible. I'm so sick of Casey Jones' designs. The good news is I can make a custom that will be 10x better, and a lot cheaper.

Here's hoping they redo her for Villains 3.

I'm normally a Casey Jones fan, but this will be a pass for me. I don't like the dragon stretched to fit the 9" canvas. I wish it were more abstract, more like the Noah piece. Philip looks great though, I love the brambles on his ears! Maybe someone will want to split the set with me :lol:

I love how they did his nose. I find noses are the hardest part when doing humans on vinylmations. I want him almost as much as I wanted the 1.5" Aurora! I feel like I'm just going to suck it up and get the combo with both. I have Maleficent/Aurora and there's a chance the dragon looks better in person. VinylNation's photo is the best I've seen of it.

I like the Devil better from the Angel off top of my head.

I like how they are trying to make humans looks less chubby with the collar of shirt/cape as well with the hair from the tangled one in 25th DStore ones

I love love LOVE Prince Phillip as a character and I'm glad I'm not alone on that one (Aurora and Phillip tend to be least popular)

Sad to say that I'm not too crazy about Maleficent. They just can't get her right :\ which is a real shame because I honestly think she's the best villain. I guess an eventual 3rd time will be the charm?

However I need need NEED Phillip and I don't care how much I have to spend to get him! Lol as long as it's reasonable of course.

Where do they say it's a WDW release? Is it exclusive to WDW? That would be really dumb if it was, Disneyland has Sleeping Beauty Castle and Disneyland was the park that first got Fantasmic (where Maleficent as a dragon first appeared in a Disney Park). It would make no sense what so ever but it wouldn't surprise me I guess. Disney as of late has not failed to disappoint me across several different lines of business (Parks, Movies, Merchandise, etc.)

Is there any update when this is being released? I see on the homepage that its April 6th but here we are on Easter and I don't see anything anywhere, so just wondering if anyone has any insight? Also, does anyone know where it will be released? I won't be at WDW until October so it is SO far away and it will be long gone by then, unless they get pushed back until then.

I don't think it has been released yet. I am almost certain if it had been released we would have seen a ton of ebay listings for it at this point. Maleficent is a very popular character (as we have seen from the Villains 9" series).

Yup. And there weren't any at D-Street today. I did wonder where the April 6th date came from as I don't recall ever having seen it on the Vinylmation Events section of their site.

I think it's completely ridiculous that they would only release this set at WDW! These characters are NOT exclusive to WDW if anything they are exclusive to Disneyland (Sleeping Beauty Castle...hello people!) I could understand if this was a series dedicated to a WDW attraction, similar to the 3" that have been released for California Adventure but this is an Animation 2 set! Hopefully it will be released at both D-Streets on both coasts but if not someone is going to get a VERY strongly worded letter from yours truly...just saying!

Yes animation 2...on the back of the box it looks like a 9 inch Humphrey bear with a 3 inch. There is also rhino from bolt, roger rabbit, and another 9 inch I can't quite make out yet.

It seems like it may have been released at WDW D-Street for the signing tonight. I'm guessing they'll get a DLR release date soon. Maybe they are trying to get a signing event scheduled for the west coast, also?

A new set from the Animation 2 series is being released on April 20 at D Street, at the Downtown Disney West Side. Designed by Casey Jones, this set contains one 9-inch figure plus one Vinylmation, Jr. figures. The set has an edition size of 1,200 and a retail of $74.95.
