Did they have any mention of the Nerd Stitch and Figment release dates? A photo was posted to the Vinylmation facebook page and from the looks of things these two guys are on the old mold! YAY! But the real question is when will these guys be released? And what about that Rhino vinylmation in the hamster ball any discussion about that guy as well?

So I guess the only time I'll ever buy a 9" Vinyl again is when they have no choice but to put it on clearance? They weren't selling out at the 40-50 dollar price range. Why jack it up to 75?

no kidding...it also means when they go on clearance, they'll be the same price as previous 9". honestly, i have a hard time believing that "rising production costs" would result in a $35 increase

I'm just happy that the Utah Jazz and the Indianopolis Colts are represented in the vinyls. I'll have to get my hands on both of those (hopefully i can find someone going to the parks when i have money for them)

Thanks for the article. I really like the Big bad Wolf set and surprisingly I like a few of the Cutesters at the Beach, not the little kids just the little animals. But wow, $75 for a 9". I guess I'm never going to buy another 9" again...unless it's on sale but less than the normal price now.

All of the ones we listed are guaranteed, although they won't be available right away as evidenced by the release dates. The ones that are based on demand are the teams (and presumably schools) that haven't already been announced. "The U" is safe. :thumbsup:

WELL I have seen everyone's comments about the 9" price and IF going forward that is the price, I will regrettably be finishing my 9" collection. I really want Maleficent Dragon/Phillip and Roger Rabbit but I truly can not justify the price. I just can't. 9"s are so LIGHT, too! I was already feeling a bit silly buying them. Disappointed by this choice but I agree w others - if people don't buy, hopefully the price points will lower to begin with.

So excited for 3 Little Pigs I can't contain it!! :happy: idk why I love it so much. I hope it's not $50+, in fact idk of I could rationalize over $30...

At first I didn't like how there was another coonskin capped VM, but when my mom came down to visit me when I was doing the CP we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and so I am inclined to obtain Mickey. :)

I'm shocked no one has posted their hauls yet! Let me be the first!

We had a great night! As usual, the VN crowd stuck together. We had a table consisting of mutt7000, Elemenopy, myself, LotsoVinyls and DizVinyl, the regulars plus our special visitor from Detroit! DizVinyl and mutt7000 were nice enough to save us space since Elemenopy and I got a little behind and LotsoVinyls and her boyfriend, Sir Sleeps-a-lot (he better come up with another nickname before that sticks :lol:), let us join them in line to get in. The line to get in was huge! While it's nice to see attendance going up, as that means more traders to trade with, it does make for a hot and crowded room. I heard Donald telling another CM about how we were usually put in a bigger room and he didn't understand why we were moved to this one for the night.

The juiced trading box was there per usual, but the line was often too long to bother. I only traded once and lucked out with a Red WDW Cast Chaser but since we were near the box, we saw lots of chasers and variants coming out. There were a lot of artists wandering around, Monty was even incognito trading, and Mike Sullivan had a dedicated signing table.

Now, for the vinyls!

Alaska came from mutt7000, John Henry and Jose were from Phylers' Group Buy, the solid alien was from Elemenopy, Dr. Facilier, Waldo, Fireworks were from LotsoVinyls and Ice Gator came from Phylers! That's one of the great things about trade nights, we get to help each other out! And we did a lot of that :lol: Plus it was great to hang out, eat 'unicorn poop' cookies (post to come!) and trade! It's always nice to get a second opinion on trade values and watching Sir Sleeps-a-lot trade was hilarious! He gets really into it!

For example. A woman came to my table and asked what I was looking for. I said I didn't really know, what did she have and what was she looking for? She then very boldly stated that she knew what she had and she wasn't new at this and wasn't going to be taken advantage of. I just kind of blinked, then explained that that's wasn't what I meant. I wanted to make a trade that got us both something we wanted, not necessarily to con her out of high ticket items. Things seemed to relax after that and she bought out her case full of variants and chasers! I knew Elemenopy's grails for the night were Yellow Candy and Green Apple so I was able to trade the lady my Darkwing Duck for Yellow Candy for her and John Henry Variant for me! Elemenopy was standing in line for the trade box so I got to go and surprise her! It was easy enough to trade Yellow Candy for the solid U7 Alien that I'd been coveting in her box!

Now, I'd told the lady that my friend really wanted the Green Apple so she said she'd come back. And an hour or so later she did and Elemenopy was able to trade for her Green Apple! Meanwhile, since I'd been holding the amazing box of chasers and variants, LotsoVinyls had been coveting one of the Purple Bubbles in the box. So, I got trade the lady for the Purple Bubbles and then proceeded to trade it to LotsoVinyls for Waldo, Dr. Facilier and a Park 2! Waldo has been oddly scarce so this made my night!

Here's another trade story. Earlier this month, Phylers and I were at D-Street and there was a Small World Park Starz in the clear box. I needed that one so I bought one to trade. It ended up being the Ice Gator and Phylers refused to let me put it in the trade box, saying he had a Small World Park Starz he'd trade me for it, even though he already had an Ice Gator. So, we did that trade and all was well, until trade night.

I knew Phylers needed the Robotic Butler and someone wanted to trade one of my Park Starz for one. There is something you have to understand about Phylers at Trade Night. He usually keeps all his traders in his backpack and stand behind my table, often on his phone on the forums :lol: So I had to keep nudging him to make sure I was getting the right thing. I did the trade and got the Butler. Since I had all the Park Starz I wanted, I said I'd trade him any Park Starz to put back in my trade box. What did he have with him? My original Ice Gator :rofl: So, now, despite my originally not wanting him, the Ice Gator has joined my collection because he has a story.

It's stuff like this that makes me love trade nights and my awesome friends! I'm so glad we were able to help each other and we all came away with AMAZING stuff to add to our collections! To all the new people we met, it was amazing to meet you, and to everyone who didn't come say hi, why didn't you? We'd love to meet you!
