I don't know why but this ride is so corny that I love it!! I can't explain why I like it! It must be the same lame jokes that I hear every-time I get on! Can't wait to go back and ride it!

Not one of my favorites and it's because of that fact that I don't feel like waiting an hour or so for the ride especially in the 100 degree heat of august

 I knew somebody would see through the charade.
I love the Jungle Cruise and I would probably ride more than I do if the rest of my family liked it as much as me.

I love the campy familiarity of it. But especially love to ride it at night. If you haven't experienced it at night, make a point on your next visit to seek it out after dark. Extra fun.

I love this ride! We always go on this when we visit... sometimes multiple times, I have even gone 2 times in a row. I love how each trip varies with the personality of your boat captain. The last time we rode I had purchased the hidden mickey book and spent the entire ride looking for the mickeys ( I got all but one)

Now why won't somebody rank up to jungle cruise skipper and post it in the user rank bar thread so I can use some of the jungle cruise jokes from my last trip?

I love this ride and half of me never wants the nostalgia of the corniness to end, but another part of me wants to be excited and thrilled with new animatronics and surprises if it was renovated. One of the best things about Disney Parks for me is that you are not only in a world where everything is magical, every dream comes true and it's a fantasy of sorts, but a lot of rides haven't changed much and it's this time-capsule back to a safer, happier, innocent time. I want to keep that feeling somehow, but I also wish I was still fooled into thinking the elephants, hippos and snakes were real!

It's kind of funny that the lione is so long and has a Fastpass at WDW but not nearly as busy at Disneyland (and no fastpass)...maybe at Disneyland it is competing with its neighbor Indiana Jones which DOES have a long line and DOES have a fastpass

One of my favorite things about this ride is the queue. I love listening to all of the announcements. There's some really funny stuff in there.

Couldn't agree with you more. It's a place where corny is welcomed and sometimes funny. Sometimes.
It's one of my favorite rides there. Sometimes I'm the only one laughing though... haha

Another vote here that loves JC. :) My favorite part is how the skippers will "make fun" of one another from the boat/docks. The dry humor is great. Not to mention the nostalgia factor. It was one of Walt's idea from the get go!

I think the Cast Members that do this ride are some of the best in WDW. They are very fast with their retorts and are very witty. I went on this ride for the first time last week and I was NOT disappointed.

I guess it is obvious that I LOVE this ride. But my absolute favorite way to experience this ride is with a sign language interpreter!! I have an aunt who is deaf and we rode the Jungle Cruise with the interpreter and is was just amazing!
For those wondering about it...
Disney offers Sign Language Interpreters for most shows/parades and some attractions for guests that are hearing impaired and their party. You have to be at a certain park/attraction at a certain time/day. So like we had to be at the Jungle Cruise at like 10am on Monday. We met up with the interpreter outside the attraction and got on the boat through the exit (which isn't a big deal since the exit is the entrance...) Then they load the rest of the boat up with regular people in the queue. The skipper still tells all of the jokes, its just the interpreter well...interprets them.
Even if you don't know sign language it is just the most amazing Jungle Cruise experience. I know quite a bit of sign language but I cannot read it as fast as some can do it. So I wasn't able to catch all of the jokes through sign language but I know almost all of the jokes anyways and the skipper still say them.
Anyways that is my favorite Jungle Cruise memory!
(Oh and if you want to know the second best attraction with Sign Language Interpreters then you MUST see the Beauty and the Beast show! Sit down front on the right side, it is better than the show! Trust me.)

I've only rode this once since having tickets the last 2 years..I always forgot to ride it and then we did..and it was ok..I can def. say the skipper
s humor was the best part. The rest of my party didn't really enjoy the ride and after riding the safari in AK with real animals..it is kinda lame in comparison.
The skipper had mentioned some innapropiate jokes that you could tell some of the other parents on the boat with there little ones didn't quite enjoy so much.
I found them funny whatever they were but I could see why the parents weren't thrilled with some of the disney magic being talked about in that kind of manner.
I really should convince the rest of my family to give it a go again someday when were bored.

I love this ride also. i have been on it every time i've been to Disney, but the recent time i went the guide was great. the corny jokes where there, but she was on point with making jokes with the people on the boat. what ever i did and other people did. she had a joke or a come back for what ever we said or did.

There have been rumors for a long time that the piranha scene from Disneyland's JC was going to be added to WDW's JC. That was going to be a straight swap with an old scene and not an expansion as such. As well, an improvement to the hippo pool where it actually feels like the hippo bumps you're boat is another older rumor. If the JC is in fact expanded it will be interesting to see if WDW gets the piranha scene.

Funny story about the JC. When I was in grade school (probably late 80s) we took a family trip during a slow time and late one night we rode it, just me my sis and mom and dad. The guy running our boat after the first turn told me to take the wheel. So I did. He then jumped up on top of the boat (probably to smoke or something) and he let me pilot the whole ride. Yelling at me the whole time to turn and to "watch out!" It was awesome. I'll be honest, it wasn't until years later that I realized it was on tracks. I was young and I seriously thought I was driving it.

I loved this ride when I went. We went for the park extra hours at like 1am, and the experience was fun and the jokes our driver told were hilarious
This ride is just ok for me. However it really depends on the "guide" We went in December and the park was closing early for MVMCP and while we were waiting for the boat infront of us to unload the people he began saying how we would be missing Wishes because of the park closing early. He then began to give his impression and renacting the Wishes firework spectacular. It was proably one of the funniest moments I've ever had at Disney

The JC at DL in one of my favorite rides. I love the corniness of the jokes and I hope they don't refrurbush it. It seems to me that a ton of rides have been remodled and refurbushed. I love how it is old fashioned and when I ride it I feel like a little kid again growing up in the 80's. Waiting in line is awesome aswell, you feel like you are in Africa but still in the US. I just like how you can relax and enjoy after rushing around the park. It is such a calming ride with some humor involved.
