Expensive!

You’re invited to celebrate the New Year at Walt Disney World with an all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner, dessert and exclusive viewing of the Wishes fireworks show. It’s a two-hour dining experience at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station that’s offered one time only — on December 31 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The Dinner and Dessert Party includes artisan breads, fruit, cheeses, sushi, salads, seared tuna, beef short-ribs and carved pork. There will also be a child-friendly section available during the party. You’ll then be able to choose from a wide-range of desserts and toast the New Year with a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage before the amazing fireworks display.

Check in for this Party begins at 6:15 p.m. and it’s $139.99 for Guests ages 10 and older and $69.99 for children ages 3 through 9.

There’s also a Fantasy in the Sky Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom that begins at 9:50 p.m. The Party includes a self-service buffet featuring sweets and beverages and non-alcoholic sparkling drinks to toast the New Year. It’ll cost $35.99 for Guests ages 10 and over AND $19.99 for children ages 3 through 9.

You should know that Park tickets are required for the parties and it’s probably best to arrive as early as possible. The Disney Dining Plan is not currently being accepted and pre-payment will be required when reserving seats for the night.

Have you ever celebrated the New Year at Disney Parks? How about this year?

I wonder if Disney's not expecting the numbers they usually get for New Year's, and that's why they're offering this experience? It is a bit pricey, but how sad is it that I was like, "Oh, that's a good deal for Disney on New Year's Eve!"

Yeah I don't think I'd pay that price for what they're offering. Not worth it to me.

I don't think I'd ever be caught in the parks on New Year's Eve...WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE!

:agree: BigAl. We've been a couple of New Year Eve's, Epcot was the worst. Wall to wall people you couldn't even move. It does sound like a nice idea but will pass.

I've never actually been in a park on New Year's Eve either, but a couple years ago we were on the monorail that goes through EPCOT probably around 11:00pm on our way to the Poly to watch the MK fireworks and it looked like so much fun down there. Looked like they had a stage or something set up with like a DJ and a video screen in the background. The music was so loud and EVERYONE was dancing. After I saw that I wanted to come back another year and try it out in the parks. I heard if you're not in there by like noon though you won't be able to get in because they reach capacity and close the gates.

What a great idea for the New Year's Eve!!!
It is on times like this that I miss Florida very much.

IDK. New Years at the MK sounds cool, but I think I'd miss our tradition of blowing up lots o' fireworks (including the infamous "Bling, Bling") until we get busted by the cops and then spending the rest of the night bad-mouthing the crotchety old man down the street who ratted us out.......ah, the holidays......:drunk:

Most people have recommended skipping the parks on New Year's. So I've been the night before and they have in the past done the countdown and the New Year's fireworks on the 30th as well. It was really cool!

However, we watched those from the Tomorrowland Terrace - the same place where you'll now need to pay $140 to stand and watch!? Yikes. It's not even the best spot for the 180's...

Yeah they definitely do the New Year's Eve fireworks the night before NYE. Fantasy in the Sky starts at 11:50pm on December 30 and 31.

I totally agree about Tomorrowland Terrace too. I wouldn't care to watch the fireworks from that angle.

Me neither - and when it's too crowded, sometimes you risk getting stuck too far back from the balcony and the ceiling's in the way!:bonk:

We typically go to Epcot on New Years because the crowds are tolerable and the fireworks are awesome! I try to stay far away from Magic Kingdom the weeks of Christmas and New Years. Just TOO many people.

Last year MK had the countdown to the New Year that was fireworks in the shape of numbers 1-10. that was pretty cool tho....but I watched that from the California Grill. :)
