Where did you get both of the ghost obi's and where did you get the one w/o the serial number if you bought the one w/o the serial number on eBay from a member in Hong Kong than you bought a scrapper. A scrapper is not a fake but was to be destroyed do to design flaw.
Two Scrapper Ghost Obi's have sold on EBay at least that I know of. One is listed right now

Looking at the one on the right again and I see that the right hand is missing the painted finger nails. I hate to say this but it looks like you own a scrapper

Ghost Obi has fingernail polish too??
I don't know why the fingernails on vinyls freak me out so much...
On topic, I'm very sorry but it does look like you have a scrapper Ghost Obi :( Did you buy both of them on ebay or just one?

Sorry - that is definitely a scrapper.
Seller 'mybjd' and seller 'sinodolls' are either one and the same or are both scrapper sellers - they regularly use the same photos for their vinylmations and are not to be trusted.

I would message the seller and ask for a full refund and if not you will leave negative feedback and mention in the feedback that he or she sells scrapper vinyls

The very least that I can suggest you doing is to give them neutral or negative feedback once you receive the vinyl. Only when people do this can other potential buyers see what these sellers are doing.
Many people here have reported these sort of listings to ebay but they either can't or won't do anything about it - the only way to stop it is via the feedback.
If, when the vinyl arrives, it is damaged or not as per the listing, you would be able to get a refund - but unfortunately these guys are street smarts and their listings are generally 'correct' - trouble is you aint getting what you think you paid for!

Well I messaged the seller and they gave me a full refund thank goodness, however, I think the Vinyl is still on it's way to me! If it does arrive should I trash it or should I send it back? He has already left me postive feedback the moment I paid. But I don't want to get into trouble with eBay by tossing the Vinyl, on the other hand I don't want this seller to receive the Vinyl back and try to sell it again to some other poor fool!

Its good that you got a refund. Trouble is that they obviously refund anyone who picks them up on selling scrappers and therefore they get no negative feedback so more people fall for it in the future.
Personally I would email them if/when you get it in the post and ask them what they want you to do with it. Sending it back would have to be at their cost, not yours - so maybe they will get you to keep it.
I am not sure what the situation is on feedback in this instance - are you still entitled to leave feedback if they cancel the purchase? If you are, I would seriously think about leaving them neutral feedback (as long as the refund does actually go thru). Something along the lines of 'Vinyl purchased was not as described - full refund given - thank you' - factual and not emotive but enough so that other buyers may be wary in the future??????

Good thing I came on this thread. I was watching Ghost Obi Wan's from both of these sellers. I normally don't buy from Hong Kong but the prices were good. Now I know to forget about these and move on. Thanks to all for the heads up.

I bought the Ungai from this guy. It has a cerial number, and it looks pretty okay to me. What do you think?

Unfortunately I think it will be a scrapper (ie a factory reject for some reason) - so far no-one that has bought off this guy has got a 'proper' vinylmation - they have all had something wrong with them.
If you want someones more definitive opinion from here - just post a front photo and a back photo and a photo of the bottom of the feet on this thread and we can see if/what any problem might be with your specific vinyl.

I have been a bit out of vinyl collecting for a while and honestly wasn't even aware of the scrapper issue! It is becoming like pin collecting...

My daughter purchased the Dark Wing Duck set for around $35. She hasn't taken them out of bubble-wrap but I already told her to email the seller - Sinodolls
SO, even if they have a serial number they are scrappers?

Sinodolls only sells scrappers so unfortunately there will be something defective about them.

If it was sealed in the box and still sealed in the foil the it's a real vinyl. Now oddly enough it seems that vinyls sold outside the states don't have a serial number but a code like yours

I just noticed that seller has another Ghost Obi for sale and wondered if that was a bad sign for the one you bought - I mean who has two for sale within a week?
Also I notice they only use stock photos (not of the actual vinyl), the description is a bit over the top, all their listings are private and there is one feedback that says they sold a vinyl with a defect not stated - they might be legit but I am not sure I would be OK with buying from them.

Add bootyfinder to the list. He is careless enough to use the actual pics, and the vinyl obviously has no serial number. The starting bid is too low as well. The worst thing is, there are currently 4 bidders for the item.
