just saw on yahoo... I want some but they are limited to 1500 and only on ebay because all profits are being given to <Michael J Fox foundation... I think Nike should just mass produce these and have a cut of the profit be given to the foundation, like how product red does with converse. but seriously these are the coolest shoes Ive ever seen!

I'm using ridiculous to mean awesome. You know like the way you use nasty at times to mean something good. "Not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good."

My fiancé is yelling at me at this very moment: "You better not bid on those!"
Me: "But it's for a good cause!"

Lol what?
Just quoting.
Marty: Wait a minute, Doc, are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?
Doc: Precisely.
Marty: Whoa, this is heavy.
Doc: There's that word again; "heavy". Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull?

For 10 days, 150 pairs of 2011 Nike MAG shoes will be listed on eBay.
The first of the auctions begins September 8 at 8:30 p.m. PT, 11:30 ET.
All net proceeds from the auction sales of the 2011 Nike MAG shoes will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Good luck.

I saw one pair at 75,000 last night, that's crazy! Most are 3000-5000 range, at least last night they were, I was seriously considering if they were closer to a 1000, but even at 1k these are too much, let the entertainment industry and collectors with the dough to spend get them, the fact they did these just for MJFs foundation is really cool.

Yeah and all the money will he doubled in the end thanks to a 50 million dollar donation by some other foundation. Again I seriously think they should mass produce and have a portion of the profit go to michael j fox. At least make them a limited edition, at the very least...

I heard that in 2015 they will be coming out again, they still won't have the power lace system, but will be more wearable, than these which are considered to be more of a prop, they will still be limited, but not like the 2011's.

I've heard they would have the power laces if this was to happen, Nike patented the technology last year.

Just because they got a patent doesn't mean they will use it. I was told they wouldn't be using the power lace system, even they the card that comes with the shoes says you have to wait till 2015 for the power laces. I really believe that my source or anyone else at Nike knows for certain what they may or may not include in 2015 release if it does happen.

and maybe they are just referring to the fact that they traveled to 2015 in the movie?

Yeah 100 people got to bid on the first pair in person and a rapper from the UK ended up getting them for 37,500 dollars, yes thats 37,500 dollars.
After that i watched my size on Ebay from the website go for 8,784 dollars.
These shoes will never not be crazy expensive, Kid Cudi himself bought 4 pairs of size 10's. paid over 5 grand for each pair.

My friends brother is a hardcore Back to the future geek. He turned his Delorean into the back to the furture version. Google his name, Kenny Kapalowski. He has two now, a radio station had a contest and wanted the best BTTF fan and the winner would get a Delorean, he showed up with his and was the instant winner. Its funny seeing him driving on the highway with it and peoples reactions.

Hoping the 2015 rumors are true!
Maybe the non power lace will be a GR release, and the powerlace will be auctioned similar to this.

Has anyone seen the Kermit shoes by adidas? They are pretty sweet and they are not that expensive. I may have to ask for them for Christmas. I know this doesnt pertain to the topic totally but I read the posts and thought this may spark more conversation.
