pie eyed mickey color mess up

anybody ever notice that his buttons are yellow? Only reason why I bring this up is because I am currently working on a 9" older styled mickey and have been looking up pictures for reference and notices that this little guys' buttons don't match up with any pictures Ive taken or found. anybody know why they did this?

Whilst originally, it was red shorts with white dots, when Disney recreate the Pie Eyed Mickey, they sometimes use the modern version of shorts with is red with yello dots. White dots is more common but they use both nowadays.

do they really? I dont even see yellow dots on modern mickey, I can barely even find pictures of him with yellow buttons :/

I have the plush on the far end. Out of 45 Mickeys plushies I own, a few do have yellow buttons. It is more common to use white but occasionally they use yellow.

i just noticed the figure has yellow gloves and the plush has white gloves

hmm... still strange that theyd use that. it is so rare to see apparently cause out of the 10 years I've been going to disneyland I've never seen that.
