Not yet available, but Very Merry Gingerbread Man (http://www.vinylnation.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2145) and Spectacle of Lights (http://www.vinylnation.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2144) have arrived and were available to Cast Members tonight. This leads me to believe that Holidays Around The World should also be on WDW property and hit stores shortly.

I'm honestly not to excited about this one. It just seems to plain to me. I mean it's not Candycorn plain but still. I'm a lot more excited for Osborne lights.

For me it has been the tins that each of the special ones come in. I really loved the design on the Candy Corn tin, both the Spectacle of Dancing Lights and the Ginger Bread tins are great designs, but also the Holidays Around the World tin is another winner too. I really loved the Ginger Bread one cause when I opened it and took the vinyl out, there is the face of the vinyl as the bottom of the tin, super cute!!! :happy::happy::happy: Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the vinyls too!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Actually I know I did not. I don't think that Sledge did either. We were having a hard time remembering what to ask as this time there was no "book" but we were allowed to ask Donald anything. We tried to remember the most asked questions from on here and get information on the product that was displayed. Donald had said they didn't bring the stuff that has been shown the most (Muppets and Cutesters) because he wanted to show new stuff (Urban 4, Marathon, Big Eyes, Oh Mickey) but we didn't think about that one not being there since the others had been released. I haven't heard of any delays though. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

We've announced a date for the final limited release holiday vinyl, which has a design inspired by the Holidays Around the World celebration at Epcot®. The vinyl will be released on Friday, November 27 at Walt Disney World® Resort. A limited amount will also be available at Disneyland® Resort in the near future.

I think this is definitely my favorite of the special-event Vinylmations this year! The design of a tree with world flag ornaments on it is just too cute and creative! Can't wait for this one to go up for sale this week!

Not that I didn't already spend a lot of money last Friday on vinylmation!! But it was definitely worth getting the Park 3 vinyls, NYC vinyl, Park 3 matted print and a 1 of a Kind vinyl! Guess I need to work some more OT before the next big wave of vinylmation hits!! :idea::idea:

As an Epcot NUT I sure hope my parents can pick one up for me when they go down to WDW in December. They are going down the week before Christmas.

Keeping my fingers crossed this one and the Spectacle of Lights vinyls last.

That would be because today was the release date. They had not been available prior to today because the event at Epcot doesn't start each year until the day after Thanksgiving. Give it some time and there will be a bunch of them on there for sure! :thumbsup:

The tin that the Holday Around the World figure comes in is the best of the 3 Holiday tins. The Magic Kingdom's Tin is very blah just blue and White and the Studios tin is ugly in my opinion, but considering it is the Osborne Lights theme, it's appropriate. The Epcot tin is colorful and represents Epcot very well. The Vinyl inside, is also my favorite since it's a Christmas Tree design. The Gingerbread (Magic Kingdom) is my second favorite. The Studios Vinyl although cute soesn't really remind me of Christmas that much.

Yeah, I was on the vinylmation "official" site last night and saw that the release date was 11/27. :bonk: I thought they were already released. OOPS! I'll definitely have to keep looking though.

Oh yea, the tins are a definite plus. Heck, short of Gingerbread I prefer the design of the tins over the actual vinyls, haha.

I picked up a couple of these at EPCOT today. The 2 I got were in Mouse Gears but they had about 20 of them at the pin station behind Spaceship Earth. If you are an annual passholder make sure to ask for your discount. Both locations have AP discounts right now.

Just wondering, how do you know annual passholders get a discount at these two stores right now? I thought the only store that gave a discount was World Of Disney? I'm just curious as I'd love to get a discount in these stores if I'm supposed to be currently.

The only thing is it doesn't say which ones the "select" are. You just have to ask around. I confirmed Mouse Gears & the pin station yesterday though. :thumbsup:

They sell Pickle Ornaments at the Germany pavilion with the entire history of the tradition posted along side them. Apparently you hide them in the tree and the first kid who finds it doesn't get beaten. Kidding, they get a present or something. I just bought this vinyl today actually. I think it's my favorite tin so far.

The discount for the AP DOS NOT work in the Florida parks like in Disneyland CA.
In Florida the discount it is only in selective locations in DTD.
Floridians AP discounts are different from the California one.

The discount does work in Florida at select resort merchandise locations until January 3, 2010. Its a limited time AP perk. I read it on the AP website and then asked when I bought my vinyls. Here's my receipt from Mouse Gears in EPCOT. Just ask them at the register if they have an AP discount.

Although already mentioned by Are-Jay, it's the pickle that totally does it for me! I liked the figure, but the pickle story always reminds me of EPCOT cuz that's where I first heard it and the fact that they added a little hidden pickle to the Vinyl, it's just perfect.

That is way too cool!!!! I hadn't even looked that closely at it to even know there was a pickle on it. Had I looked at it I would have gotten the significance right away, both my husband and I come from German backgrounds and that tradition lives on in our house. We have pickle ornaments on our tree. I'm definitely going to have to take a closer look at it when I get home.

I think that it's taking longer for these figures to go, in part, because the general park guest is still somewhat clueless as to what Vinylmations exactly are. I talked with several people on my recent trip, explaining what VMs actually were and the whole "blind box" concept.

I agree. Almost every time I hit the Vinylmation display someone asks me what they are. It took a while for me to figure it out also since they don't tell you they're blind boxed. Most people are going through the boxes trying to figure out which box is for the Vinyl that they want. I'm not a general vinyl toy collector so the concept was new to me too and I try to be sympathetic of those with the lost looks. I used to be that person. haha.

Once I found myself in that situation where I was explaining the blind box thing. There were 3 guests doing their second pick, trying to get something different. They had 2 Mike Wazowskis .... and asked me if I would trade them. I said, sure, but don't know what I'm going to get .... so I opened up a Monkey, and they were thrilled to trade with me. I explained that it was a filler, but they still wanted it. I definitely got the better end of that deal! (I already have a "barrel full o' monkeys"!!!

Hey All,
As of March 23, 2010 there are still some Holiday Around the World VM's at Art of Disney in Downtown Disney. Saw 3 for sure on the shelf behind far left register area. Could be more.

FYI, the few remaining Gingerbread Men over at Contemporary are gone.

Hope this helps anybody still looking for Holiday Around the World.

Nabbed one on eBay for a reasonable price. I think the tins are my favorite type of packaging...way better than the boxes that you have to use a knife to open so that you can send the box off if you ever need to sell it. More tins, please!

They had them a few weeks ago in several of the stores in CA (Off the Page and Disneyana for sure), but I just heard about the pickle on the feet a few days ago, and now I must have it!! ( I know, I'm way behind on the pickle info!)

I believe I answered this in the Tracker thread this morning, but as of late last week, Mouse Gear at Epcot still had quite a few. D-Street in WDW had some on the 19th, but as far as I remember they were gone by the 28th. HTH!

So apparently the HATW tins and Flower and Garden tins weren't sold out in CA, they just decided to pull them off the shelves and sell them in the employee store. One of my good friends accompanied me on an employee store shopping trip, and they had 3 shelves of the Flower and Garden tins, and about a handful of HATW left. Luckily I was finally able to get my HATW!!!:clap:

:agree: that's what I think happened. They realized instead of having them sit on the shelves until they sell out, to take them down and just resell them at the holidays again.

:agree: that's what I think happened. They realized instead of having them sit on the shelves until they sell out, to take them down and just resell them at the holidays again.

Knowing that if they made it appear like a new vinyl we would jump on them and say look a new Holiday vinyl! WE ARE NOT THAT STUPID DISNEY! :rofl:

It isn't anything new or a re-issue, just leftovers. There are still a few floating around in the theme parks and I've seen some at D Street, so my thought is that they just are moving what is left online so they can sell them out. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Gingerbread man one next as there are still a few of them as well.

I was wondering if they used the template from the Billiard set and that is why it has an LE on it. If not, then I am surprised that they never sold out in the first place. Maybe if they announced the edition sizes they would sell faster??

I like all three ofthe Holiday Vinyls. EPCOT has a special meaning for me, since I work there, and I like that the ornaments on this "Mickey Tree" are all the countries in World Showcase. It would have been nice if they could have had special symbols for the Future World pavilions on it as well.

I love Epcot,it also holds a special meangin to me and my bf,the ornaments are just amazing.I have all the holidays so far so i can't stop collection the rest yet :) :)

I don't own one, but I do remember the VM.com blog saying it is a Limited Release vinyl. So there shouldn't be an edition size. :shrug:

Actually it does, it says LE#5000

Its not the best pic but if you look closely at the bottom left corner of the foot you see the LE#

Though I find it odd that on the Toy Soldier box it says LE#6000 but they didn't put the edition size on the Holidays around the world box :shrug:

I just happened to look at the bottom and noticed that Epcot had a limited edition number on the feet but not the box and the Toy Soldier had the edition size printed on the box and not the figure! :rofl:

:lol: Why would they do that? I would rather the edition size be on the feet instead of the boxes (since I really don't intend on keeping the boxes :look:)

Hahahaha I don't know! I just think its funny that there are technically two figures that are limited edition now, or maybe all three were suppose to be limited edition and they decided last minute to try and change them to open edition but only succeeded with one! :shrug:

Yeah, it really is so confusing! I mean with an LE size that big, they probably could just get away with calling it a limited release :lol: Still, hope Disney can make some sense of this :shrug:
