I was reading upcoming series, and I noticed the Gingerbread is called "Mickey's very Merry Holiday Party". I believe this is an event in Walt Disney World? We don't have one here in Disneyland. I was wondering if they're exclusive to that event, or if they'll be sold everywhere? If they're exclusive, is there a possibility they'll be like the Candy Corn, that ended up being sold everywhere? I really like this one, but I don't live near Walt Disney World. =(

Good question, though I don't know the answer to it , hopefully someone in here will be able to tell you when they know

Yeah the 3" Ginger Bread Man (not to be confused with the 9" from Holiday 1) is supposed to debut for the Mickey's very Merry Holiday Party. It is supposed to be limited to that event but as we saw with the candy corns they over produced and wound up even in some hotels! I do not know the production number but I am sure it is up there. If you are in Cali and need to order one it might show up at the AOD in DTD at some point or you can ask someone to pick one up for you. I will be down there on the 28, 29, 30. If by that point you still need one let me know and I'd be happy to pick one up for you.

What we heard from the product planning team at the last Artist Party is that this vinyl is to be exclusive to WDW and to the Magic Kingdom. While it was originally to be an event exclusive to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, they have now decided to make it available all day but again, ONLY at the Magic Kingdom. Due to there being 3 Holiday exclusives, that is why it will be park exclusive. Disney's Hollywood Studios will have the Spectacle of Dancing Lights vinyl and Epcot will have the Holidays Around the World exclusive.
Candy Corn was to be WDW exclusive, but some where along the lines some were sent to Disneyland. The product planning team told us they were not supposed to get them as these are the exclusives for WDW, while Disneyland has their own exclusives planned for the upcoming 55th Anniversary that WDW will not get.

I think I remember seeing on here that there's supposed to be a Ticket Book series and a Poster series that are exclusive to DL. Not sure if these coincide with the 55th or not, but those will definitely be cool.

That makes sense. Insted of having 2 park exclusives at Epcot and DHS that anyone can buy and having another that you need to pay $50-70 extra just to get into the park to buy it, making all 3 just holiday park exclusives makes sense. I'm wondering if they ordered about the same quantity of this figure as they did with Candy Corn. If so, the sales of that figure probably weighed heavily into the decision to make this available to everyone entering the park.

Did anyone ever figure out how many Candy Corn's there were? I think I saw somewhere that there are supposed to be 4800 of the holiday exclusives, so I wonder if that's the number on Candy Corn as well.

I would be interested in knowing this as well. I have a couple extra candy's and cast members to hold on to and trade with in the future, I am wondering if the counts on these are lower numbers and truly "limited" or if there are 10,000 of them out there.

I'm not sure about Candy Corn's number, but I'm pretty sure that Cast Member had an edition size of 20,000. You can check under the released series just to be sure on that number.

I agree, 20,000 seems like an awful lot for a "limited edition" figure. How many do they typically release for the normal series (ie Park, Urban, Holiday, etc...)?

There have been no numbers released other then the edition sizes of the 9" ones so far. That edition size does remind me of when pin trading first started and they were so popular that Disney made a few Limited Editions that were 15000-20000 till they realized they were sitting on the shelves and not selling out. Then they finally lowered the edition sizes to 1000 and that did better for them. Since this was the first Cast Member one they had no idea how many to make and how quick it would sell.

It should hopefully be released at the 1st party, but I don't think Candy Corn was available for the first few Halloween parties so we might just have to play it by ear.

The Gingerbread vinyl we were told will be exclusive to Magic Kingdom and will be available all day, not just at the events. Now, as to the release date, we have not received any confirmation regarding a date. Once can speculate that it will be around the time of 11/10 as that is when the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is, but it is hard to say. Also the Spectacle of Dancing Lights would be estimated to be released on that day as well as that is the first night of the lights.

These were on sale tonight at tonight's Cast Member preview of The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. Mouseman says they accidentally got a case in and they told him that they decided to sell them.
There is also a Cast event tonight at MK for the Christmas Parade. No word on if they will be available there tonight or not, but it is a possibility. not be open.]
The important news is that these are on property in WDW so there will be no delays in getting them on the shelves like there was with Candy Corn. No word on DLR, but if we here something we will update you in this thread and on our Twitter account.

The preview at Magic Kingdom tonight is for the Parade only. There will be no merchandise locations open to sell anything so no vinyls there tonight. Basically they do a preview of the parade and ask Cast Members to attend as this is the first run for the parade Cast to do the whole run of the parade with an audience. It's a lot of fun as the Cast get super excited and show a lot of support for the entertainment Cast Members.

Ew! I definitely DO NOT like these jumbo size cards. Horrible for collectors. Especially because it is just the Holiday specials and not the other specials like D23 and Cast Member. Booo.
On a happier note, The Gingerbread man is ABSOLUTELY adorable! I have to have that figure. Crossing my fingers that it gets sent to DLR by accident like CC did ;p

What store did you get it at and were there alot left?
Also what other shops beside the Emporium and AOD are selling the Gingerbread figure my parents checked at the emporium and a cast member sent them to the Art of Disney and the cast member they asked there said they have not arrived yet and are on a slow boat from China to MK. Also what other shops beside the Emporium and AOD are selling the Gingerbread figure my parents checked at the emporium and a cast member sent them to the Art of Disney and the cast member they asked there said they have not arrived yet and are on a slow boat from China to MK. Now I now not every Cast member is familiar with vinylmation especially, but when they went to the emporium they checked the display and asked a manager and they refered them to Art of Disney.
I got mine at Mickey's Star Traders which was odd considering all the other vinyls are on sale next door at Merchant of Venus. They had a lot left, yea :)

I don't understand the hate for him!

News from vinylmation.com ....
Artist signing (I assume for the Gingerbread vinyl)
December 4
Main Street Gallery- Magic Kingdom® Park
Meet Vinylmation™ artist Randy Noble from 6pm to 8pm for a signing of the new limited release holiday vinyl.
Just noticed they added, "admission to the Very Merry Christmas party required" .... darn. That means I won't be seeing Randy Friday after all!

Weird. The event starts at 6pm, which means day Guests in the park would be able to see him until 7pm, which is when the event starts. And the vinyls are sold all day, so it isn't like it is an event exclusive only sold during the event.

There wasn't exactly much of a line at this signing event. I am guessing a regular guest would have been just fine.

My husband and I went to the Randy Noble signing last Friday prior to the Christmas party starting since we weren't going to that night's party. We got there before 6 and he had already started signing items. We had no trouble getting into the park with just our AP's either with just a couple of hours before the party.

I was at Cali Adv. yesterday and they still had a few at the Tower of Terror gift shop.
I finally got around to buying one of these today. Anyone else notice on the receit it rings up as "VNY NUTCRACKER 3"? How's that look like a Nut Cracker?

There have been a few here and there. I know they can be found in a couple of shops at the Magic Kingdom and D Street still had some I believe.

A friend of mine is at WDW, said she just bought the "last one" (Dunno if it was meant as stock or last one period though) from the Christmas Shop over in Liberty Square.

What does/did this retail for? I just got one off of eBay and I want to know how I did. LOL. I think probably $12.95, right? I think that's what the Candy Corn one was, if I recall correctly.
