I have a special sneak preview of merchandise coming to the International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot on September 30. This festival is one of the many reasons I love working for Disney. We used the poster artwork created by Maryanne Schmidt as inspiration for several items. And for the first time, we will offer a unique boutique of select items from the festival via our Disney Parks On-line Store!

So, it sounds like some of the Food & Wine Festival merchandise will not only be available at the festival, but also ONLINE! :happy: That is great news for those who cannot make it to the parks. I don't know if that includes the Vinylmation or not, but that is still great news.

And of note.. the vinyl is on the old mold :look:

I *hope* to get all of this merchandise. It would fit in perfectly in my kitchen!! I'm running the Wine & Dine Half Marathon on October 1 and I'm REALLY hoping they have all of this out at the Expo or after party as I won't actually be going to the F&W Festival outside of the race (the after party is at the festival, though, so I'm thinking they should at least have it all there!!)

I'm pissed I didn't get the one from last year, too. I got the race exclusive one, but not the actual festival one. Stupid! :mad: I guess I wasn't really into pins then (I'm still not, I just like a few random ones here and there.. mostly Halloween ones, if I'm being honest with myself), but I do like to pick up the pins from the events I attend, especially races. Maybe I'll just pick a 2010 one up off of eBay. :shrug:

Either way, I'm just super stoked there's a vinyl for this year's events. I had really started getting into VMs right before last year's festival and race, and was really bummed that I couldn't pick a vinyl up for either event! Now I don't have to be :)

Oh my goodness we went for only one day last year for the first time and I am dying to go back during that time! I LOVED sampling all the food!!

Ok, in case anyone missed it, the vm.com blog announced today the the Food and Wine vinyl will be released on Oct. 14th and NOT this weekend for the start of the Festival!!! I am beyond livid. Can someone please explain to me how the heck the Epcot Food and Wine vinyl is NOT coming out this weekend for the start of the festival, but rather 2 weeks into the festival??? I mean I know the Vinylmation team was really bad at planning their releases in a logical way, but this is just ridiculous.

And of course I am going to WDW this weekend for the start of the Food and Wine Festival and will miss getting this vinyl that I have been so looking forward to. I have to hope that this vinyl will eventually be sold online on ds.com. But it just seems crazy to me that I will have to wait to hopefully buy this vinyl online when I will have already been to the event. How ridiculous!!!

I agree with you WDWgirl, this is ridiculous! I am at WDW now. I live thousands of miles away from Florida. Why can't Disney get their act together? They are missing out on a lot of money.

WDW Dstreet is pathetic. Isn't Dstreet suppose to be the hub of all things vinyl? Their stock in vinyls is lacking. Vinylmation trading at WDW is a joke. When I trade a pristine vinyl, I don't want a half chewed on vinyl in trade. No blind box trading for me anymore. What is the problem with letting the customer see all the traders? Like pin trading.

I am new to collecting vinyls, but do have many other collections. My experience with collecting other items has been -- give the customer what they want. After all, without Disney fans, Disney is nothing. Sorry for my rant.

Thanks for the info... It really is terrible that ppl wont be able to get this vinyl sooner... I mean it just seams to me like it should have been released at the start of the festival, or maybe even before just to kinda promote things :) (or just wishful thinking) I really do like the pins and Vinyl! I called Merchandise Guest Services twice trying to locate which shop in EPCOT has this vinyl. As of right now, MGS is saying the release is not until Oct 14th. I told MGS about the Vinyl blog, they say the vinyl is not in the system.

Has anyone spotted this vinyl at Epcot yet? If so where? TIA!

I am stuck at a convention center and don't want to venture out until I know where the vinyl is in Epcot.

Honestly? It's not much to look at. But the box is gorgeous! It's my favorite of all the new boxes!

I would assume once Epcot gets more shipments of this vinyl, they will be sold all over Epcot, in all the kiosks and stores that sell Food and Wine Festival merchandise.

My husband and daughter just love the food at germany .Italy, and canada, but this year we all want to go to the Hawaii booth. A couple of years ago they had a booth selling fresh pears, they were so good I wish they would come back.

I looked for the vinyl on friday but didn't find it. I didn't know when it was supposed to be released so I was searching for it. I saw it at Epcot after the Wine & Dine Half Marathon this weekend! They probably had 10 or so out for sale. Luckily, I had Phylers pick me one up earlier so I didn't have to worry about finding it at the after party, but I was SO relieved to find out that I would be able to get it that weekend! Finally, Disney came to their senses!
