Since Vinylmations have a collector nature, should open window sets be kept in their boxes to maintain value, or can they be opened since most Vinylmation sets need to be opened?

As one of the resident "price watchers" around here, I've seen open window pieces sell for the same amount in the box & out of the box. If they are different, the price difference is minimal. If you're purchasing to display, by all means display, and store the box somewhere.

:agree: I totally agree... Most people are going to display something they buy anyways, so your resale value won't decrease much as long as you kept the box and went about opening the item carefully.

I personally like keeping them in the boxes since they are often decorated in a cute way to go with the particular series. There are exceptions though- NBC series I would open. Nerds Rock, I like in the boxes. I don't know, I guess I'm just weird that way

Glad to see they sell for the same. I'm not looking to sell them anyway, but its nice to know!

@MsDisneyFan: I think that is very sound logic. NBC isn't really decorated, but Nerds boxes are very elaborate!
