How much have you spent on vinylmations

Ok so I hope no one has started this thread before but I'm just curious how much everyone else have spent on vinylmations. I've spent about $1600 on vinylmation. Mainly because I've been playing catch up. I got started collecting vinylmation in the begining of July so I've been spending lots of money buying the 1st series. I don't mind spending the money. I think it's exiciting to try to get them all. But how about you guys?

Not as much as you have that is for sure... I remember seeing those earlier sets at the beginning of the year and am kicking myself for not getting into it until about the same time you have. Buying flats is definitely going to be the way to go in the future for me... eBay is getting expensive. But I do like buying them blind and trading is fun as well so I am a little torn about how to progress... I'd say i've probably 250 bucks into it, but I only have about 24.

This works out as 1/6th of my wages since I started collecting in May :look:

The sad thing is that about $500 of that is postage/customs charges. Maybe I should quit my job and set up a vinylmation importing business :idea:

I just recently started collecting in September right after the D23 expo, and since then ive managed to complete URBAN and PARK 2 Series, a HOLIDAY 1 Series, D23 expo exclusive, Candy Corn, and CM Exclusive.. all in all ive probably spent about 500 dollars in the last month or so on VM's.. still more to go, going to attempt to get some Series 1 VM's!!

I would probably have to spend about 1000 on top of the 500 i spent already just to catch up to you and collect all the 3" (minus clear series)

luckily i started when urban 1 was released so i only had to back track to park series 1 and at the time ebay listing werent nearly as high. the balloon chaser was going for around 50-80 dollars at that time

I have bought 15- 9" vinylmations, and 53-3" vinylmations (which included- 3 blanks, 3 cast members, 2 d23, 2 candy corns and 43 from all series)

So I would say 1130.00 (not including shipping charges and tax)

My rough estimate comes to around $906 spent so far on my collection/hobby. Truth be told anything you eventually add up will come out to a potentially big number; but it really comes down to how happy to the figures and the aspect of collecting make you. At the end of the day I like my collection so I dont mind the price I have to pay for it. Getting Kermit, Creepy Wallpaper, Figmouse, and Yeti are going to push me well over the grand mark. Once I finish my park 1 set then I'm going to start on getting Urban 1.

I've spent waaaaaaaaay too much on vinyls....I had to get most of the Park 1 series on ebay, and I collect the 3" and the 9"....I don't even want to think what the total is, it's too scary!! :yikes:

all 3" from holiday
3 9" from holiday
d23, castmember, candycorn
I just bought $130 worth today on eBay.
Which knocks my total up to $1730 and I havn't even bought display cases yet
I'm also sitting on 6 doubles
and I plan on getting all 9" from urban 1 and park 1
a few 9" from park and urban 2
2 9" from holiday
And my next big buy I want shag and ballon chaser.
And I want Noah 9"
and finsh off the rest of all urban and park series 3"
so I have a grand total of 43 3" and 5 9"

For my disney pin collection, I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of when/where every pin was acquired and how much they cost. With our collection up to over 3000 pins :yikes::bonk:, the amount spent is kind of a scary number. Somewhat because of this, I specifically did not set up the same tracking of my vinylmation. Sometimes it's best not to know some things.:lol:

:doh: I'm scared to know... I'm pretty sure its over a thousand dollars by now... a third of park one and a third of park two (luckily traded at D23 with some great people!!) a completed park 2, urban 2 and holiday 1, six 9" and a few d23's, a candy corn, a traded for cast member and with park 3 coming... oh boy :bonk:

Aghhhhhhhh!!!! And plus my sneaker collection... :-X Maybe I should just take up that part time job on the side...

I look at it this way, if the first way to beat your addiction is to admit to it.....then I refuse to admit cause I'm having way too much fun!! Since I don't have an addiction, then I don't have a problem. If I don't have a problem, then there is no way I can be spending too much.:)


p.s. I think my "non" problem has cost me around $800 so far, but I don't really want to think about it too much :)

Haha, yeah, I got lucky because my mom used to work at Disneyland,and she had to take a personal leave, but keeps in touch with her friends. =) If not, I wouldn't have been able to get it, or I'd have to pay the eBay price. :mickey2:
