Hello Group Buy Section - Pirates Case Split

So long to the raffle section and hello to the group buy section. So lets start things off on the right fight and do a pirates case split. Figures are $15 each shipped (assuming $12.95 box price) as a non gifted payment. First come first serve. International buyers are more than welcome, although shipping may be a bit more depending.

How cool, a Group Buy section! Too bad all the Jack Sparrow slots are taken up, he's the only one I really want from the series.

I know Gochmaster sets up a lot of group buys. Previously he tried setting one up for Star Wars (which I was a part of), but unfortunately he had to call it off because not enough people were interested in buying the "less popular" figures (Lando, Leah, Han). This got me thinking of a solution for group buys.

What if we were to setup a staggered pricing structure. Members would have to pay a smaller premium of $1-3 more for the more popular figures, and in conjunction the less popular figures would be $1-3 less.

Using Star Wars as an example, figures like Vader, Boba Fett, R2D2 would cost members $15 each instead of the normal $12. Then we can off set the cost of figures like Leah and Lando to be $9 each instead of $12. I don't think members will have an issue paying a few dollars more for the popular figures. And with the less popular figures going for a cheaper price, this might entice members to buy them.

This will hopefully help sell out a full box for group buys and prevent the whole group buy to be cancelled.

What do you guys think?

Sorry for any confusion. This wasn't really meant to be directed to Archie, but it was more so an idea to throw out there for future group buys where there's trouble selling out the less popular figures.

i have done many group buys in the past. in my opinion, its not a group buy if someone has to pay more for one vinyl because there isnt enough love for another vinyl. it just defeats the purpose. if i was to split up a case and do tiered structure, it would no longer qualify as a group purchase, but more along the lines of "selling my extras". i am okay with not all figures being sold, as long as majority of them are spoken for. a lot of times, a day or two before the release, i will give the members who are already on the list an opportunity to get the vinyls not spoken for at a discounted rate, but i wont purposely price one vinyl higher than another.

You've done the discounted thing for me before during one of your group buys and I appreciated it very much. It is a great way to sell off the rest of the un-sold vinyls, especially because adding one or two more vinyls doesn't cost much shipping-wise!

Also, the more 'unwanted' leftovers are good to use as traders if you ever go to the park. If not, try ebay. If not, try trading/selling them here after the group buy. The 'unwanted' ones always find a home eventually :)

I see your point. You definitely sound like an awesome seller and an asset to this community.

To take the unwanted leftover vinyls that don't sell sounds like a burden, but if you are willing to do it, then we are all lucky we have you here!
