We all know that they are going to do future Star Wars series, but I got this bad feeling that if, more like when, they do a series based on Episode 2 and 3, we will see more variants of Clones than we can handle!

What does everyone else think? Would you like the opportunity to collect 4-5 variants of Clones? :bonk:

.... yes. i have this HUGE love for Stormtroopers and Clones troopers. Whenever I go to the expo in London, they're always walking around and I always fangirl and MUST have pictures of them. So yes, I'd love to get all variants but hell no becausev I've seen how much variants go for ¬¬

I don't mind variants when they're 'easier' to find like say Real Boy Pinocchio from the Animation set... But super hard to find ones like the Ghost Obi-Wan or the 'All Other Guest Areas' sign one are just annoying. That being said, I think a few easier to find Clone/Stormtrooper variants would be fun to collect.

Meh. The Sotrmtroopers are great, and the clones are fine, but I'd be disappointed if they choked a set with a bunch of variant Clone Troopers. There are too many great Star Wars characters as it is without wasting spaces in a series. Even variants ought to be of main characters rather than (:sorry:) wastes like the Clones.

I get that Clone Wars has built the popularity of the clones, but the Stormtroopers were so effective and evocative because they were all the same. Plus, there were only what, six different Stormtrooper (counting the TIE pilot) classes in the original trilogy? In the prequels and Clone Wars, there's just too darn many variations. Oh, so and so has blue on his helmet which means such and such.

Give me the Scout Trooper (:cross:), maybe the TIE pilot and the Desert Trooper. When they get around to the prequel series, one Clone class for each will be fine; two per series at most.

when i first read the title of the thread i was thinking of the hologram emperor and vader kneeling " what is thy bidding my master?" as for trooper variants; i'm hoping to see a scout, and a dirty sandtrooper with an orange paldron. as for prequel clones theres too many, especially if they consider all the commanders ie: cody, gree...etc. i'll find them all if i have to tho..clones are too cool..

That would be cool if they had a series just for storm troopers. Eventually they will make all characters but maybe they can do like an open box for storm stroopers or something cause i dont think 12$ or whatever would be worth blind boxing stormtroopers over and over.

Disagree with toto - I hate the excessive variants. I love the super hard to find variants when there are few of them in a set because it makes it that much sweeter when you get em.

Agree with Phylers. The clones are ancillary characters even more so than stormtroopers. There are so many useful characters in Ep 2 and 3 without having to back fill with clones. A good example IMO of a chaser and variant would be Darth Sidious/Emperor in ep 3 before and after the encounter with Mace Windu so his face and duds are different.

Between the AT-AT Drivers, Pilots, and Snowtroopers, they've got enough different classes to avoid different colored clones for a while. Unless they are specific. IE: Rex, Cody, Gree, etc.

Personally, as long as I get a Royal Guard, Ill be happy

Agree. Big Time. I would love a TIE Pilot, personally, more than a scout trooper. I'd also be into one of the Death Star Gunners, though I'm not sure how they'd translate to vinyl.

The helmet would be a little hard to work out, but the designers have done some good things so far, so who knows?

I was just looking at a value guide for the original Kenner figures: a. wow b. it made me think about some other characters that hadn't come to mind yet. I'd love to see some of the other bounty hunters in a set. i.e. Dengar, Zuckuss, Bossk, 4-Lom, Ig-88 etc... I'd also like to see the Max Rebo band - or maybe just Max. As long as they aren't represented as the RotJ Special Jedi Rocks versions..... can you say "mistake?"

Someone had brought up a set of bounty hunters as a potential for a special edition, like a Billiards or Condiments set. It could be cool, but I'm not sure the more casual collectors would want the chance to snag Dengar and Bossk. It could be good as an LE piece, though, maybe LE 1,000 like the Afternoon sets.

I'd get behind a Max Rebo Band set, too, actually, but again, I think it would work best as an LE. Granted, I half expect Max Rebo to turn up in the series that will focus on Jedi.

I wouldn't mind a clone pack. As long as I can get Capt. Rex and Commander Cody, I'll be happy. Hopefully they won't be chasers or variants. The character I really want though is Ventress. She is my favorite. I like the animated Clone Wars alot more than the movies.
