Yes, check the wrappers. I almost threw out Vadder's light saber, but my wife mentioned to me that he needed his "red stick". I dug into the foil and found it Thank you wife.

I checked with WDW Merchandise @ 12:00 and the CM said they just were told at 11:57 they were sold out. I called yesterday and they said they were performing a stock check after SWW and to call back later in the week so I guees that answered the question. The CM did say they are making more and should be back @ the park sometime between August and November. I then called DL Merchandise and asked them about SW and to see if they had a P5 Dreamfinder/Figment Combo. Star Wars is definitly sold out. The CM told me basically the same thing as the WDW CM. They are maknig more, but will not be in Parks until October. They did have the Dreamfinder so all was not lost. The DL CM did tell me that Phone Merchandise orders will be made through the WDW # by the end of this month. She seemed concerned on how it will work out with all orders going through Florida. :shrug:

I asked around at DLR today and they are sold out everywhere with no arrival date in sight (that they know of). I wonder when the next shipment will be this time.
It seems like people went more crazy buying them up quicker this second time around. Sorry to hear about all those that never got a ghost Obi Wan in a tray.

That seems to be the story. When I spoke to the WDW Merchandise line they said sometime between August and November. So October would fall within that range LOL.

gf is in FL and went to D Street. . saw an opened tray of SW with 5 blind boxes left, she bought 2.

when paying, she saw a sealed tray in the back, so she asked the CM if this was it, he replied yeah they just found two trays. all gone now though.

They merged Disneyland and Disney World's merchandise lines so now all calls go through Florida. I asked about both DL and WDW merchandise and she told me they were both sold out :(. I have no idea how some people are lucky enough to be getting these now.

Star Wars series update #1 (and the only one that will fit in this thread :o):

Star Wars series 1 is definitely coming back this Fall.

The Star Wars series is being planned like the Holiday series, so in other words, each series is planned to last about a year. In this case, they actually haven't "ordered more" - the original production numbers were set a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away ... :lol:; couldn't resist!), and they're still following the original production schedule. The demand just happens to have vastly outstripped their numbers.

So to summarize, and allay fears, Star Wars Series 1 is confirmed to be returning in the late-Summer/early-Fall. :thumbsup:

It's cool guys, I couldn't be mad at you for something you have no control over. I just hate the fact that I feel like we will miss SW again since we won't be back to WDW until the end of November. With the rate SW sell, IF they come back in October, we maybe SOL again.:(

Phylers and I were given confirmation by Donald himself that there would be more Series 1 released sometime in the fall. They are following the usual staggered supply schedule which usually gives an uninterrupted supply, but due to Star Wars' popularity, we are seeing the wide gaps of supply.

I just checked DS.com to see how much shipping is on cases. One case matches what you have for $29.95, but 2 cases would ship for $49.95. So at least they're giving you a break on the second case ;-). And yes I know on DS.com they qualify for free shipping.

He can't give an exact date because of the long wait of getting them from the factory. They are supposed to last an entire year and he said they are going to try their hardest to make that happen. The problem is that Star Wars sold faster then the usual production schedule for a series so that's why we are seeing large gaps in availability. Same thing happened after Toy Story came out and we're having a bit of the same issue with Urban 7 here at the moment at WDW. But Star Wars WILL return, Donald Promised.

The vinylmation.com blog doesn't give an exact date in October... all it says it's scheduled to be re-released in mid-October.

I imagine Star Wars will be gone again by Xmas. They were released in January and sold out within about two weeks. They came out again mid year for the Star Wars weekends but also sold out quickly. They are going to be re-released in mid October but I don't think the stock will last till Xmas.

You will be able to get lots of other vinyls in December thou as there are lots of other releases between now and then.

that sounds promising. I also hope they keep the price at $11.95/blind box. but then again, I wouldn't be surprised if disney decided to jack up the price by a buck or two, knowing how popular this set is

Guys, just remember one thing about this series. You are not only competing with other vinylmation people. You are also competing with the vast amount of Star Wars collectors who outnumber us quite a but. I think Disney didn't quite expect the huge crossover demand as well as they should have. So give them a little slack for Series #1 and their attempts to keep it on the shelves. I bet Series #2 is already doubled in their production order from the very beginning to the point another series got their release date bumped back so they have room in the warehouse.

No, the restock is not supposed to last another year. Series #1 was supposed to be on the shelves for a year, that was the original plan. Since it was released in early 2011, this restock will no doubt only last till then as well. Best case, it lasts until Series #2 comes out in August of next year but I highly doubt that will be the case.

Get 'em while they last, but if you get a hold of Tron's top three vinyls, get 'em first because, for an "open edition", it sure seems like it won't be release again, compare to Star Wars "Limited Edition", lol.

This restocking was planned from the beginning. A new shipment of Star wars was always going to arrive in the parks in October as part of their production schedule. They expected to have Star Wars still on the shelves so the gap wouldn't be noticed. So this isn't a re-issue, it's just the production finally catching up with demand.

We are having the same issue with Pirates and Urban 7 at the moment so this problem isn't unique to Star Wars. They can't always predict what's going to be popular and I really don't think they considered Star Wars collectors to have such an impact on the vinylmation supply, thus the higher demand.

I'm hoping that Disney will over produce the Star Wars series like they did with the Toy Story series. :) If you look at it, this is a popular series and Disney will milk it as much as they can.

They will be at D-Street in Downtown Disney as well as in the parks. No one knows how long they will last. Hopefully they will learn from last time and stock more, but who knows. We're all crossing our fingers! :cross:
