So I noticed there wasn't a general thread for this and wanted to get input from all you guys to help me choose dining for my next trip! TripAdvisor has helped me a lot but you can't filter out sections of the WDW Resort by parks, so this will make things easier! Just choose your favorite Epcot dining option and tell me why! I'm looking for suggestions for one table service and one quick service/snack option

Table service HANDS DOWN no contest is Tapen Edo with Le Cellier coming in a close second
Quick service is a toss between Seasons and Electric Umbrella

Well, Teddan Epo is good, it's very expensive for what you get. The veggies aren't the greatest. Noodles over fried rice. I wouldn't eat there unless you're on the dining plan.
My top picks for the World Showcase dining are :
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall = princesses and great food. I can't remember exactly what I had there but it was some pasta dish and it was amazing.
Restaurant Marrakesh = There's never an issue getting it and great food.
Via Napoli = Best pizza I've had in a long time. Just don't do the quick service option because it's no where near as good.
 I only now saw the 1 table service, quick service and snack place. Fail on my part XD
Anyways, Kari Gori : best snowcones EVER. They put so much syrup on it, it's just amazing. Used to get one every time I passed (almost) haven't in a while for some strange reason.
I like the quick service in France but that's because I like going and getting the cheese plate :yum:
Basically, ask about any of the table service anywhere on property and except for one or two I've eaten there.

I didn't vote b/c there are just too many options here, so here is my summary:
Best Snack: chocolate croissant at France or Ice Cream sundae near Cool Zone in Future World;
Counter Service: (trick answer) Food and Wine booths...really, you can't beat them. We really don't counter service much in Epcot, but Sunshine Seasons in the land is a good choice and the counter service in Japan is a hidden gem;
Table Service: too many to choose, since the cuisines are so varied you should eat whatever genre you like. I'll add that the best atmosphere is: Coral Reef and Les Chefs de France when Remy is around.

Oh, Epcot. I  Epcot. And I purposely waited to offer a post until I'd seen the other threads, because it's too darn hard to pick favorites here!
The San Angel Inn is wonderful, and the decor is fantastic. I love eating under the "stars" and watching the boats go by, listening to the mariachi band off in the lobby. Rose and Crown is terrific, with good British food (:yikes:, I know!) and good British beer (and a friendly British staff ). The Biergarten serves beer in giant mugs and has some of the best German food in Central Florida (outside of Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford); the oompah band brings it all together. The Coral Reef can somehow be both derided by folks for being noisy and cherished by those of us who mentally fall into the tanks and notice only the serenity of the fish. The character dining at The Garden Grille is far more intimate than others - due to the slow rotation, tables are only on one side of the wall (the other is a window that overlooks Living with the Land), so you truly get "alone time" with each character (and, when possible, the food is actually the stuff grown right there in the greenhouses).
All that said, however, I voted for Chefs de France. The food at Chefs is okay; the entrees aren't great, but the flatbread appetizer with the bacon and creme fraiche is heavenly. So why vote for it when the food isn't the best? One word: Remy. The Remy character greeting is far away the best character experience in all of WDW. Even with me hyping it to the moon, you will still be impressed. People will stop dead in their tracks passing the windows when they see Remy inside. I would recommend hitting one of his lunch appearances (the menu is mostly the same, but it's naturally cheaper :D).
Quick service in Epcot is also satisfying. The Electric Umbrella has an eclectic menu that should be able to please everybody, and Sunshine Seasons isn't bad. Strangely, I almost always wind up eating at the Liberty Inn. I guess it's like the Brits who tend to crowd the line at the Fish and Chips place - faced with all those choices, sometimes you just want to be an ethnocentric "homer." I mean, the food is good and all, but for some reason, the burger there always tastes a little better. ;-) The new veggie burger is pretty good, too.
Speaking of, the Yorkshire County Fish Shop (which I didn't know had a name ) is good for a quick bite. The line can be long at times, but it moves quickly. Alternately, if you wait for half an hour, the line will likely be empty. The crowd there seems cyclical.
I'll also second jeffztt's mention of the Food and Wine kiosks. If your trip is during the Food and Wine Fest, you won't need to eat in any of the restaurants.
The only places in Epcot I wouldn't recommend would be Nine Dragons (and the other Chinese place) and Restaurant Marrakesh. The Chinese is only a bit better than what you'd get from Chinese takeout, but it's Disney prices. Restaurant Marrakesh likewise suffers from dishes that are priced too high, especially when the bulk of the entrees are meat (chicken, lamb, or beef) with couscous or rice and all go for north of the $20 line. The price outweighs the otherwise good food and no-wait seating; I don't care if there is a live band and a belly dancer - chicken and rice is not worth $27.
Finally, while it's not listed, it might be the best quick snack place in Epcot - or any other park - La Cava del Tequila, located in the pyramid in Mexico. From the outside, it's an adorable little tequila bar. Inside, it's an adorable little tequila bar with a great selection of tequila and mezcal (and a lengthy list of specialty margaritas), a terrific staff, and wonderfully light tapas-style bites. Do not miss the ate con queso - manchego cheese, assorted fruit, and a downright delectable guava paste. :yum:

I think (as you've probably gathered from the varied replies here) that you can't really go too wrong at Epcot. But personally, DH and I love Rose and Crown for TS, Sunshine Seasons for CS, and the Boulangerie Patisserie for snacks. All of these are pretty budget friendly, too. Rose & Crown is fairly low priced for a TS (and a favorite of my meat-and-potatoes DH), Sunshine Seasons has a few entrees that are large enough to split (especially if you splurge on their fabulous desserts), and the Patisserie has croissant sandwiches that you can buy with a snack credit!
Also, someone mentioned the F&W Fest. The food is great, but you can definitely start to add up costs if you sample enough booths (and they'll all look so tempting!). So if you (or anyone) is considering sampling their way around the world, do check into the Quick Service Dining Plan. You get 2 snacks per person per night (plus 2 CS meals per person per night and a refillable mug), and pretty much all food samples from F&W count as one snack credit. The F&W snacks tend to be some of the most expensive things you can buy with a snack credit, so they can definitely make the plan cost-effective.

For lunch (quick service), Sunshine Seasons is good. For a nice afternoon snack and drink, La Cava de Tequilla is excellent like another member mentioned. It's a tiny place, but it feels off the beaten path and that's why I like it. For dinner, if you like steak and can get a reservation, Le Cellier is great. I've only been able to get reservations a handful of times, but it was great everytime. Back when it was one table service credit in the dining plan, it was a great deal, but since March it is now considered a signature and requires two credits. Although apparently they've also changed up the menu.

As a snack I really enjoyed Crepes de Chefs de France. My wife and I were ecstatic to find this little kiosk ever since they closed the crepe shop in our mall. If you like crepes I recommend having one from here. As for a quick service mail my family and I enjoyed the food court in Land area my the Soarin ride. The half chicken was delicious.

i really like the garden grill. hubby and i ate there on my bday trip a couple of years ago, and i ha a lot of fun! the characters were great (except for mickey who seemed to be in a bad mood ). the food was really tasty, and all you can eat. i like the restaurants like that a lot better than traditional buffets. I also love living with the land, so I enjoyed the ambiance a lot. we had a really good waitress, too. we are going back on our next trip!
We also really enjoy Le Cellier (we have had dinner once, lunch twice). All three times were good. Was it the best restaurant i've been to? Nope. but it is still pretty good. We always have to wait quit a while to be seated (longer than other disney restaurants, in general), and their waiting area is tiny. Last time we waited they asked us canadian trivia which was fun.
We also had a lot fun with lunch (i think...it was a 3 pm reservation) at akershus. although, we had to wait for about an hour in the boiling sun, with no where to sit for it...which was kinda miserable. But, we had a really great waiter and the food was a lot better than i was expecting based on other reviews i had read (i had a tasty rotisserie chicken dish and dessert sampler was great). The princesses were really fun (I was really excited to see Ariel with legs hehe).
We haven't really had much quick service or snacks there. But we do always find some tasty treats to bring back to the room from the french bakery. :)
Lots of good eats in Epcot. :D

Le Cellier is excellent. I love love love the cheddar cheese soup. You really can't beat it. I also enjoy the new Mexico restaurant quite a bit. Favorite snack is tricky. I do like the desserts that Seasons carries. The crepes in France are good as well.

I like the Le Celiear (or however you spell it...im not canadian or french) and the San Angel Inn. San Angel definitely has the best atmosphere especially if you are right on the water. For quick service, it is a tie between seasons and Electric Umbrella... just depends if you want healthy or junk food. I'd love to try the new pizza place but I'm not headed back down until next summer

I really enjoyed Beirgarten in Germany on our last trip. While I'm not a big fan of sitting at a big table with strangers (we got some stuck up folks who didn't want to conversate) the food is excellent, and there are a ton of choices. We didn't get to see the band because our ADR was right at opening, we'll catch them next time.

Best table services is to close to call between princess breakfast at Akershus and dinner at nine dragons, counter service is liberty inn cheese and bacon burger every time and as for snack it's another close call between frozen cola by test track and strawberry slushi and a crossant at the french bakery, now I'm hungry..........

Have only done two sit downs at Epcot, and they were both great: Marrakesh and Chefs des frances. Both were awesome. Food was good at both, I especially liked the escargot appetizer and the crepe dessert at Chefs. I thoight i was taking a chance with the appetizer (escargot at a theme park?) and I've eaten a lot of fancy escargot, and I thought it was quite good. :)

I love eating at Teppan Edo, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, San Angel Inn, Biergarten, Garden Grill. I voted for Teppan Edo in the poll but that was only because I had a mind meltdown and forgot about Via Nappoli. This was the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I have only eaten there once but it is already my favorite restaurant at WDW.
Counter service it very hit or miss at Epcot. Sunshine Seasons is awesome and I probably would have voted for that if it had made the list. Yorkshire Fish & Chips are incredible. Tangerine Cafe is awesome. My last trip was the first time I had eaten there and I will be back for sure. Yakitori House is also very good.
Snacks are everywhere. There are way too many to list here without looking ridiculous and forgetting something.

San Angel Inn, for sure! I just love sitting in there to have a meal, soooo atmospheric.
I cheated and had to vote for 2. For me Le Cellier is the best food we had on our trip but Teppan Edo is the best all round experience.

Anyone care to chime in on what their favorite inexpensive place to eat is? My friends and I are going this weekend for my birthday and are hoping to stumble upon something tasty in one of the countries. They're on a limited budget so I don't want to push something too expensive on them!!

Ok, I'm a huge moron for not putting up Coral Reef Restaurant on here - sorry guys!
Coral Reef was AMAZING! Now, I will say that we were on the deluxe dining plan, so it really made sense for us to eat here. If we weren't on a dining plan, I'm not sure if we would have done it just because of the price. My boyfriend and I got a table right next to the aquarium wall, and unlike other who have said they didn't enjoy it because it was too close, we LOVED it!!! We had such a great meal. The crab cakes were great, the mahi-mahi was pretty good, and the chocolate wave was to die for. The price wasn't worth it if you were eating out of pocket, just as far as the food is concerned, but the entire experience made it worth it either way.

I love Tangerine Cafe. I have only been there once but it was amazing. I don't remember the exact prices but I am sure that Allears will. It was a quick service so it shouldn't be that bad.
Tangerine is my favorite but I love the Fish & Chips in the UK, Sommerfest in Germany, and Yakatori House in Japan. The sushi isn't the best but I love sitting out there with an iced green tea and eating.
If I am eating in Future World the only inexpensive place I go is Sunshine Seasons. The food is great. I have never really cared for burgers at WDW so I don't go to Electric Umbrella.

One word - tapas. Forget all the quick service and table service places. Since you'll all be on the world tour, you probably won't be looking for a heavy meal (at least I never am - beer is plenty filling on its own ). Inside the Mexican pyramid, hidden against the right wall (as you enter), you can find La Cava del Tequila. They serve light, tapas-style dishes that can be very affordable when split amongst a party.
The chips and salsa (not exciting, but good for snacking) is under $4, and if you like guacamole, they make it fresh table-side. The tostadas are generously filled, and they come with a variety of topping options. Do not miss the Ate con Queso plate listed as a dessert - the manchego cheese is good, but paired with the accompanying guava paste, it is a-ma-zing! :yum: So good. Most of the heartier listings run in the $10 - $12 range, and you won't get entirely as much food as you will at a quick service, but the difference in quality is noticeable. Plus, why not make the tour stop in Mexico one for a margarita?

Phylers, that is PERFECT. You're right - I never feel like heavy meals when I'm drinking (in fact, half the time when I am drinking like I will be [which I do not condone, family site friends], I forget to eat, period) so tapas would be amazing!!! Definitely checking that place out. Thank you!

Don't want to offend anyone, but I REALLY don't understand the rave reviews for Teppen Edo. I thought the entertainment was lackluster and the food was skimpy and horrible. It does not compare with a real Teppenyaki place at all. I've never tried the sushi restaurant, but don't have any desire to after eating at Teppen Edo. I imagine the sushi will not compare to the real deal either.
Akershus is awesome if you have young children, especially girls! Love San Angel for the atmosphere and the food is always good too. Coral Reef is another awesome place in terms of atmosphere, but their food has always been hit or miss. Not much consistency there for some reason. My favorite snacks are Kaki Gori, and any pastry from France or Norway. When it comes to counter service, we eat at Sunshine Seasons (great variety, but stay away from the Asian stir fry) or Yorkshire for the fish and chips.

This was a hard one since Epcot has some of the best dining throughout all of Disney. Le Cellier is always good and we really like Via Napoli too. The crepes in France and the bakery in Norway have some awesome snacks. I can't to go to Food & Wine and see what all the kiosks have to offer!
Oh, and I enjoyed my food at Coral Reef but have to say my favorite experience with that restaurant was waving at all the diners while scuba diving in the tank with sharks during DiveQuest!

We like to snack around the world. There's so much yummy food. I can't pick a sit down restaurant because I haven't eaten at enough of them to fairly evaluate them but my fave counter service is Boulangerie Patisserie. A ham and cheese croissant with a chocolate eclair and I'm in heaven! As far as snack credits go, the chocolate carmels in germany and yummy!!!!

This is way too hard to pick! There are so many great places to pick to eat when you're at Epcot. I chose Tangierine Cafe for my favorite quick-serve and Biergarten for favorite table service. It may not have the highest quality table service food of the park, but it is rather consistent and eating there is a load of fun. I also love Via Napoli, Sunshine Seasons, and the list goes on and on...

I actually had to vote for two TS locations, as they are equally fab in my mind: Chefs de France and Via Napoli. I have been eating at CdF almost every trip since the early 90s, and it is wonderful. Something for all diners. Personally, I recommend the French Onion soup and the Alsace flatbread. And any dessert! At Via Napoli, the pizzas are out of this world good. I recommend the cheese one.
For counter service and snacks, I say Boulangerie in France. Raspberry schuss is my favorite snack there, but the twisted pastry with chocolate chips (forget the name at the moment!) is great too. Can't go wrong with it for lunch either. Great ham and cheese sandwich; ask for it toasted, and voila, a relatively cheap and hot lunch. You can eat at the tables inside the shop too, if it's too hot or crowded outside.

Le Cellier Steakhouse is my favorite, but I dont know if it is worth two table service meals for the dinning plan. For that I would rather go to California Grill, Jiko, or Flying Fish. Ill try for lunch reservations from now on.
