View Full Version : 3" Moon Walk (Hidden Mickey)

Hey guys! Here's the 3" I've been working on for the Hidden Mickey thing. I am trying to decide on it's name. I like "Craters" and "Moon Walk," but I'm not sure which fits better. This one is different from the ones I usually do as normally I try to keep the paint job clean and smooth. On this figure I tried to give it some texture. Hope you like it!

Thanks guys! I think if I do another one like this, I'll try to find some type of putty to give it more texture. That's the only thing that really bothers me about it.

I love it, and I love how the hidden mickey is not to obvious and it fits right in.
I vote for moon walk.

Great job. That's an awesome figure. As far as a name, I like 'moon walk' or 'Armstrong' (or for the conspiracy theorists 'Hollywood soundstage' :bonk:)

Not too difficult. I got my husband to drill a small whole in his head (I couldn't bring myself to do it :lol:) It's not fixed in there yet. I'm going to buy some super glue tonight and stick it in permenently.
I think we'll stick with "Moon Walk." It seems that the majority like it and I think it's a little more fitting with the feet and flag. Thanks!

Yeah, go with Moon Walk. I didn't notice the footprints before, that definitely fits the name better.

Patience is not one of my strong traits, but I've found with these I have to force myself to be patient. Do one coat at a time and then let it dry before continuing. It's the only way to avoid messing it up. Thanks for the compliments! :thumbsup:

Use a hair dryer. It speeds up alot of my painting.

I love it, and love the name Moon Walk! The detail is nice, really looks like it has a lot of texture and depth. And the hidden mickey is a great touch :clap:
