The VM blog has announced that the Urban 6 Combo will be released at D-street locations on
March 18.
They also showed us a preview of one of the figures from this series:

With so many releases I have a hard time keeping up with everything. What color is coming up next? Red?
We were all expecting red and were surprised to see yellow :)

I think it was said that it was going to be red, can anyone confirm?
I haven't been much of a fan of urban 6, and I think the only blind box I'll be getting is with this combo topper...

Wow! March 18? Sheesh! what will they announce next? New release after new release and coming out every week now! I don't think average collectors can keep up. But yeah, since its not an LE, Im not really worried. Just wish they will finally announce the official release of the animation 9', i want my genie! hehe!
The cool thing about this release is that the combo topper will already be available on release day... that will definitely sold out first. (unless its like tonal mickey then nevermind! hehe)

According to info from Trade City way back when, red was to be the next Urban Tonal combo pack topper.

The Urban 5 combo pack featured a brown colored "tonal Mickey" Urban 6 is said to be red in color.

So its the same design? Just a color change? Brown tonal is not going to sell out anytime soon... and i highly doubt a red color one will make any difference... it will just crowd the shelf space again.

Not a fan of this series by any means but I do like the Tonal Mickey so I'll pick up 1 just to get the topper

The tonal Mickeys will ALL look like the brown one from Urban 5, only with various shades. First was browns, next is reds, and then I think blues and greens have been mentioned.

Same here. I will keep the topper and trade whatever I blind box.

Bought the first one (brown), will most likely pass on Red, not one of my favorite colors.

You would think Disney ran out of ideas or has no more imagination by throwing out the same design but just different colors. Even then, I know I'll still get one :bonk:

I like the "sneak peak" and the red topper, of course I am a huge fan of the Uran's.

Not too excited about a different colored tonal mickey. Theres so many brown tonals still available...what a waste.

Not too excited about the tonals either but I guess now that I have the brown I must have the rest. I need intervention lol

eww, another tonal? I think it will only look nice if mickey's face is more noticeable, its pretty hard to see it on the brown as it is.

from this set it looks like ill be passing on it, maybe just maybe ill get the tonal mickey just so i can have all the toppers already, this set not trying to bash anyones feelings or artist is like my least least favorite.

i still can't believe urban 6 is coming out before park 6.
i'll be there march 18 during the release but i don't like any urban 6...why couldn't the park 6 runaway brain combo pack be released then instead!

I have not picked up the brown tonal yet. I'm not crazy about it but I would like to see it in person. I :agree: with willbgood, I wish his face/eyes stood out more. Maybe the red one will be nicer than the brown. Hopefully they will give us a sneak peek at it :cross:

I know! I was kind of hoping the park 6 combo would come out first, but oh well. I thought the tonal idea was cute, but I agree that the eyes just didn't stand out well enough on the urban 5 one. Hoping urban 6 will be a little better. I'll probably pick up one just because it's the only way I'll try my chances at blind boxing urban 6 - just not very crazy about this series.

really not looking forward to urban or park #6 unless park #6 has an amazing chaser ill only be trying to acquire both combo toppers, wet paint donald and orange monorail from park #6 and nothing really from urban #6 except maybe the 9in gumball

I've got a brown tonal - a friend bought it for me, but I traded away the Urban that was in the box. Not a fan of the brown one really - wish they were a little more exciting.

Is there a picture of the red combo topper yet? I wan't to see if it is worth getting.
SirScott99
03-09-2011, 01:29 PM
I think the problem with the eyes are problematic because of the darkness of the brown they used. If they go with a light red the eyes would probably stand out more but I noticed the same thing

I feel like if the facial features on the brown tonal were white, it'd "pop" a lot more. I just imagined the red tonal in my head, and while it doesn't seem that much better than brown, I'll be picking it up, and whatever urban 6 is inside will be kept or traded.

I might actually get it if it's more copper toned (with different shades) like this image (http://www.etsy.com/listing/27909515/copper-toned-matte-finish-beads-id611)

I seem to be in the minority here, but I love the tonal Mickey idea. I can't wait to see the pictures of the red one! And it'll be a must have for my collection, as I decided to just collect ones the are Mickey or Mickey related. My ideal scenario would be to get the sideways Mickey as my U6 with my combo topper. That would rock!

Although I like the idea of a red tonal mickey they should make combo toppers that echo back to Urban 1, like an Oopsy Minnie Mouse, I would buy 10 of those (no joke). I love Minnie Mouse, I have two nerds rock Minnie Mouses, Hula Minnie, and Minnie's Dress. They have to make more Vinylmations representing the fab five! And they also have to keep making more Urban designs that are decent like Urban 1, I mean who wants a freaking green thumb!? I'd rather have a PIE urban vinyl than that ugly thing...

does anyone else think its kind of odd that its 2 days before the release date and still no picture of the combo topper? i mean i know that its the same as the one from urban 5 but different colors, but a picture would be nice

Looks like it is not going to red as thought, saw a picture of a Yellow one, which makes sense I guess. I remember seeing something yellow in a combo topper on one of those videos on the events page. The picture was posted on DestVM.

I'm kind of bummed about it now as I was expecting the red version with this series. But, I guess that just means it will come later.
I'm kind of bummed as well, I was really looking forward to the red tonal. Not really looking forward to this set anymore.

I went on ds.com just now and the first thing I said was, "Ummm..... thats not red". Hahaha, I'm not really a fan of this color as yellow generally isn't a favorite of mine. I may pick it up though just to say I've gotten all the toppers

Was anyone able to order it? When I tried around 7am EST it said it was already not available. Seems strange that it could sell out that quickly?

That's an excellent question. I wonder if these were placed on the site a week early by mistake. There are others on the DS.com thread who said that they were already sold out early this morning. I highly doubt it, unless they only had 50 in stock.
