Weird Case?

I just received my Star Wars case. The first thing I noticed was that the boxes on the bottom row was facing a different direction then all the rest. The first 7 boxes I opened I got C3po, r2-d2, Darth, Chewbacca, Yoda, Luke, and Boba. Then I opened up three stormtroopers and then a fourth and then a fifth! After the fifth, I was so lost and worried that maybe the case was tampered with. The next box I opened blew my mind away, it was Ghost Obi-Wan! After opening all the boxes in total I got 3 Leia, 1 Lando, 5 stormtroopers, 2 x (C3po, r2-d2, Darth, Chewbacca, Yoda, Luke, and Boba), 1 Ghost Obi-wan. I didn't even get a complete set! Anyone else receive a weird case?

Holy cow. That is one awesome case that you got there.I know you did not get a complete set, but I would loved to have opened that case.
In the baseball card business there used to be something called a 'hot box' where one box of cards was loaded with all sorts of good stuff. I wonder if this is Disney's version of a 'hot box' The only thing better would have been if you would have gotten the regular Obi Wan chase and a Han Solo instead of 3 Leia's.

That is not good. If the box was sealed it should have the set. Were did you get the box from?

Yes I did buy it from ebay. That's why I was a bit concerned when I opened 5 stormtroopers.

Although I am happy that I got what I got, but Disney needs to do some quality control. Future buyers will be upset if they did not even complete a set when they buy a case.

I believe your case was searched and resealed now as to why the seller left the ghost chaser and didn't give you any Han Solo vinyls is beyond me :shrug: but thats just my opinion

I don't think it was shrink wrapped, because the wrap looked like my villains case that I bought from the store. It should be easy to tell if it was shrink wrapped right? Or is there a way to make a shrink wrapped case look like an authentic sealed case?

well if it had like the little line around the wrapping then i would say its legit.. and yeah he could have been looking for the totally wrong thing when mix and matching and just skipped it... i'm not sure why he would include all those storm troopers though, one of the best in the set! much better than five landos :]

That is really odd, but to me, it's almost a perfect case. I don't think someone would have searched a case and left you with that mix. Now if you had 5 Landos, I would think you were scammed.:rofl:

Yeah must agree thats an awesome case. Now you have a stormtrooper army and a darth vader to lead them. And a ghost obi, sounds awesome to me!

you can probably get him cheap on ebay. Most of the "human" characters don't seem to be selling as well so they are cheaper.

I'd say thats a HUGE victory in your situation. You may have gotten gipped out of a full set but you got 5 stormtroppers AND the ghost obiwan. If that were me I'd be thanking the guy on ebay because han is easy to find and for a small price. Congrats on your mistake! hahaha

Haha, I totally agree!! Even though you missed out on a full set and may have been "scammed" - I don't think you were the one who ended up scammed, not with 5 Storm Troopers and a Ghost Obi-Wan. So, congrats on your windfall! :happy:

I'm not crazy) it was a different series but I bought one brand new case from the disney store all sealed up the whole deal and I start opening and I got all 4 chasers it was really weird I was missing Alice and Pinocchio it was really weird but hey nothing the trading boards couldn't fix. Congrats on Obi-Wan by the way

That is really a "what the heck, oh sweet!!" type of moments. The missing piece of the set is pretty easily attainable. I would have liked that case.

There's at least one person on these forums that is looking to create a Storm Trooper army. You have wonderful trade opportunities with those extra Storm Troopers. I know, why couldn't there have been five Ghost Chasers, right? ;)

You know what happened is that they resealed the case. I'm a hot wheels collecter and what happens is the person opens the box with the new hot wheels in it. Takes out the ones that they wants or likes. Then puts in old ones they dont want so it is even again and resale it up again and sell it on ebay. Happen to me twice. Sorry it happen to you at least you got the Ghost one out of it. I would e-mail the seller about it.
