I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about last night. I try not to go by what people say about employee preview because I heard they're usually not full staffed and its kind of like a real practice night for them.

I've heard a lot of people say Saw was a really good house. Everyone seems to be split about Chucky though.

It actually really annoyed me how people were tweeting that it sucked. I mean seriously... its the first night. Give them a break. I'm still looking forward to Friday and I'm sure I'm going to have a ton of fun.

What houses did you get to do and what did you think?

Wow, those pics really came out great! Such low light and you got amazing shots. Kudos! Really excited for it :D

I wish I could see the scarezones in full force! Looks like you had an awesome time. :)

My pictures aren't very good and I didn't take very many... nor did I find Kevin (I think I saw Cast A)

The entrance was definitely a bummer:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010432.jpg

The Drive-In was one of the more elaborate atmosphere elements:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010435.jpg

Pumpkins are back and still awesome:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010437.jpg

Silver Screams house was short and often confusing. Shaun of the Dead and Medieval Dead scenes were kind of funny. Very predictable scares/boo-holes but sadly that can be said about nearly all of the houses this year.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010438.jpg

While the house was entertaining and the some scenes were neat, Chucky himself looked retarded.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010439.jpg

I was really looking forward to this house but I felt like this (and Cleaver) was the same one scene for nearly the entire house. There just wasn't any real set-changes. Same surroundings, same effects all the way through :/

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010442.jpg

Cleaver's queue video was great! Really funny and a surprisingly long loop. While most of the house was instantly forgettable, the chipper music and finale were a refreshing change of pace.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/Spikethestampede/P1010444.jpg

Dracula looked great visually (one of the few), I don't recall seeing Dracula though even once- just a bunch of the same bride vampires. A lot might get missed if you don't look up. Just saying ;)

I have no pictures from Frank and Wolfman, which is a pitty because those two were hands down my best experiences of the night. Frankenstein was my favorite ascetically but Wolfman got the only scare out of me.

I got to experience ONE of the streets so no reports there. Also, the only house I couldn't make it to (due to a 90 minute line) was Saw but I'm really reeeally looking forward to it!

Oh I didn't know we were getting a little bit of Shaun of the Dead? I thought it was just Hollywood getting it. Yay! One of my all-time favorite flicks.

Yeah the entrance definitely wasn't up there with HHN 17. I can't believe you took pictures inside the houses you rebel!

Yeah I think we're going to hit SAW as soon as we get out of the AP early entrance thing. Don't really want to deal with that line later.

I had fun and enjoyed myself, I didn't go in expecting much since they're working the bugs out.

I honestly didn't do that much last night. I was mainly there to hangout with friends, goof around with, and get some practice with my camera. I have the FFP so I didn't really try to do all that much, since I know I'll have plenty of time later down the road to knock the other stuff out.

I only did the Dracula house and it was cool to me, esp since a friend works in there and I got to see them in action. The only thing that sucked was the wait, we got there right as it opened, but had to wait an extra 15 mins due to media, and tour groups getting to go in in front of us.

I was the only one in my regular group that liked this year's RHPS overall, but on the flip side I think a lot of people might not like this year's show, esp when comparing it to the last 2 year's. Also there was a lot of walkouts as the show was being performed which might not be a good sign. It will be interesting to see Fri if there are any changes to the cast.

As far as the zones, I did.

Apocalypse - I thought it was cool.

WotLD - I was kind of rushed for time to get back to one of my friends, so I didn't really get to take it in the zone like I would have liked. I loved the sound effects, and the scareactors were great. I think it will be even better than it was last night. The flame thrower itself was a let down as it really is more like a very small hot air balloon burner. You'd be SoL if you took USF's flamethrower into real combat, unless it was very close quarters combat.

Horrorwood Die-In - I really liked the whole drive in feel, just wish there was a way they could have had this zone somewhere else larger, more secluded, and darker on the park's property.

Cirque du Freak was very cool, but once again I didn't get to spend nearly enough time there, except to catch one of my friends who works that zone.

I didn't catch Bill/Ted, I heard it was okay at best, but also heard like years before it will more than likely have a few changes to it by this Fri.

So to me last night was fine, other than being too short, but I'm ready for a real night, so that the rides and most of the restaurants and shops will be open to help gobble down the crowds.

What's the difference between this year's and last year's? Did they shorten it again?

RHPS always has a ton of walkouts. People either get it or they don't, or they are just disturbed and leave. If Sweet Transvestite doesn't get them to leave, Touch Me probably will. Awwwkwaaaard.

Most of the walk outs I've noticed were like families with 9 and 10 year olds, in which case my first question would be why the heck would you bring your child to HHN?

I actually think its kind of funny when you should out the obscene responses to participate and then a mom or dad turns around and gives you the evil eye. Its like, you came to a Rocky Horror tribute... what did you expect?

The picture I saw well it was weird to see a non Caucasian Rocky. Let's see what happens Friday. Also the front entrance is very sad after the last few years.

I thought the shirtless cannibals looked like Tarzan with mange, haha.

Only one problem with the Shaun scene though... I think he had a billiard instead of a cricket bat.

Scarletwebslingr and Peaches,

My abilities with my cam couldn't capture it, but it looked like he had gold, or blonde stuff sprayed in his hair. You can kind of see it in the second picture.
