It's OK. Not one of my favorites. For some reason I thought that the Space Mountain anniversary figure was only going to be a 3" figure.

I'm definitely going to try to find a way to get this one. At the pin event in June, the vinylmation people that were there were saying this one would be released in Nov./early Dec. (around the time I'm going to be there). Now I'm disappointed to see that it won't be released until January and I'm either going to have find someone to get it for me or buy one on ebay.

Just trying to get them to go with the lower # of 800:cross: , but I do agree 1000% with everyone else stating that they don't want them flooding the market on vinylmations like they have with the pins or like with TY did with their beanie babies and so on. I would just like to see these actually be obtained by people who want them, the collectors / everyday people who step into the Disney parks and not e-bay sellers. But that's a topic that could have its own thread.

When will Cutesters, Park #3 or (insert another series here) be released? If it isn't on the Upcoming Series (http://www.vinylnation.net/upcoming.html) page then no one knows. Having to clear US Customs makes a release date unpredictable. Release dates are typically announced only a week before they are on sale. Please check the Upcoming Series page and do not ask for a release date on the forum. Everything we know will be found on those pages.

Being that it's an anniversary piece I would guess that it will be pretty limited, but no one knows for sure yet. There's not even an actual release date yet.

But being that it's for the 35th anniversary I think 350 would be a good number.

It really has not been said either way. It would seem like both coasts would get it as both coasts have Space Mountain. Hopefully at the next Artist Party we can get an answer on the edition size and the release locations.:idea:

Yeah, the Shag HM was only available at a event celebrating DL's HM's 40th anniversary.

I would think if there was going to be a special event like that for January they would have announced it already. Those things take a lot of planning so for it to be this close and no indication of an event I wouldn't anticipate it being available at a special event.

If it does come out on time for the anniversary I would guess that they'll just release it to coincide with the anniversary.

I agree with all of you. I really feal the Shag release could have been done better. Those of us who were not looking to turn it into a quick profit - really missed out. I really like the design, but I don't think I'll get it. This is one of those designs that I really wish they had made a 3 inch figure.

I feel the same about fantsyland trash can. I think the design's so cute but wouldn't it be way cuter if they did a whole series with the trash cans from around the park? (I've always thought it was cool that down to their trash cans disney has character :lol:) I guess since I'm mainly a 3 inch vinyl, it just would have fit in my collection better- and a collector's tin would've been nice with it also :cool:

There hasn't been any mention of a price increase, even the Marathon 9" stayed at the $39.95 price tag (even though the 3" ones didn't! :mad:) and the I:mickey1:NY was also released at the $39.95 price tag as well and that was a special release too. Let's just hope it does stay the same!! :cross:

Also there have been no updates on the release date yet. Maybe come Monday we might see an update on vinylmation.com's blog.

I know there was an anniversary pin released by Disney on Friday. This one was released at WDW, I don't know if there was one for DL though.

That's their schedule as of now. But I think we all realize how tentative that schedule is. Just look at the Urban 3 "fiasco" or the situation with the Wall-E/Eve set going down today.

Urban 3 fiasco? Urban 3, 3" came out but not the 9"...? Is that what happened or did they have other issues?
Wll the 9" figures have been delayed and I believe the 3" figures were delayed a little as well. But even if they weren't, WHY release the 3" and not the 9" at the same time?

I think the whole reason for the delays is that they are trying to push too much out too quick and the vendors they are using to produce them cannot get them produced and shipped quick enough to meet these deadlines. If they were to just slow down a little bit, focus on quality and not quantity, I think we would see them in a more timely manner. Also it would greatly help everyone's wallet's and pocketbooks!!

LE600 on a 9" shouldn't be a fiasco...for whatever reason (price, hard to display, etc.) there is less demand for 9". That said, we haven't seen many 9" releases with popular themes since vinyls started to catch on.

At least a lot of resellers have gotten burned on the 9". I have been very lucky to get a lot of 9" for or around retail. And sometimes shipped for retail.

Obviously they really need to move some of the series for 2010 into 2011 instead of trying to come up with more series for 2011. Since the Holiday Series introduces many different holidays it can be out any time, along with many of the other releases, but having an anniversary figure come out months after the official date is just ridiculous. I know they were trying their best to help us fans out but they have overwhelmed themselves in the process with way too much in one year.

Thinking about this more, March makes a lot of sense. The parks are relatively slow from now until the Spring Breakers show up in March. If they release them with those crowds, they spend a lot less time on the shelves. They might sell out at the same time, but I'd venture a guess that time on the shelves is an important metric for the 9" ones since they take up so much space compared to flats of 3" vinyls.

I was really looking forward to purchasing this one already and getting it out of the way price wise. If all of this does end up being released in March I have to agree with you, it will be one extremely expensive month. From my standpoint, I want to purchase all 7 of the Park 4 9", 2 of the Urban 3" and then Space Mountain as well. 10 9" pieces in one month is a bit much price was. I would be very surprised if a limit is even necessary. Aside from the LE 100 Test Track, there hasnt been a "run" on any of the 9"ers. An LE 600 can go a long way, I dont think that many people collect these, and theres not a lot of room for profit on the ebay sellers side.

Very true, but I don't really think the Urban's were as popular as Disney was hoping! I hope the editions sizes for Park 4 changed to a higher edition like for Urban 3, only time will tell!

Actually I still am a firm believer that the edition sizes need to be varied. If they are all the same like Urban 3's, then they are lacking in uniqueness and individuality. I can see some of the designs that would be more popular being higher, but then lower for some of the others. Like Sulley/Boo and Peter Pan or Tiki being a bit higher, some mid range ones like Epcot and Sci-Fi, and then a couple lower ones like Adventures thru Inner Space and FOLK. A nice variety of sizes.

Well i do believe if it was coming out friday we would have heard about it by now so i dont think its coming out this month :(
