View Full Version : To Annual Pass or not to Annual Pass

I apologize if this is covered somewhere else, but I searched and didn't find anything.

My family is traveling to WDW for spring break and will be staying on property for 8 days. There are 5 of us, but we will also be having grandma come too (so 6 total). We will live in Texas, so this will most likely be the only time we make it, but would it be smart for one of us to get an annual pass so we can experience all the discounts and perks? An 8 day pass is $ 252, annual pass is $499, and premium annual pass is $629. What is the discount that comes with the pass? Does it differ for premium and regular? Is the discount good pretty much everywhere? We are not interested in the disneyquest or the water parks. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

There's a 10% discount on merchandise in pretty much much every shop, so depending on how much swag you buy when you're there, it should be worth it.

When i went to Disneyland recently in our party i bought the premiums pass and used it for purchase food etc. As long as you the pass holder are making all the purchases it is fine.
For example i paid for everyone and used the discount as it as in my name the premium is 20 per cent discount on merchandise and it was great. So when i go to WDW i will also be purchasing a premium pass.
when i was at disneyland the discount for regular was 10 per cent and the premium was 20 per cent

It looks like with the room we are getting it will more than pay for itself. Woo-hoo! Does it work for disneystore.com or in actual disney stores throughout the country? My impression is no, but thought I'd double check. Thanks everybody!

Nope, it's only at the Parks and DTD. The room discount when they offer it is pretty nice as well. The wife and I are staying at Port Orleans Riverside the last week of Mar for $884 for a 6 night stay!
