Space mountain back in the day?

For some reason I have vague memories of there being a sorcerer Mickey in the middle of space mountain. I went on his ride tonight and he wasnt there anymore. Does anyone else remember him being there, or am I just imagining this?

You might have been thinking of the big red ball in the middle after the second hill before the third hill! :)

eekk i don't ever remember one being there, but then again i've only rode it 3x so I can't really say too much :)
