When I was at Disney's Hollywood Studio's I couldn't help but watch the The Citizens of Hollywood when they showed up on the streets!
So I saw these posts about them and wondered if anyone has a favorite, likes them, dislikes them?
The Citizens of Hollywood – ‘Speed Trap’

Officer Percival Peabody stretches his arm out of his “car window” and loudly announces his intentions – “LEFT TURN!” “LEFT TURN!” He slowly does a complete left turn – by complete, I mean 360 degrees – no, make that 720 degrees. His partner, Officer First Class William Club maintains a steady vigil for any careless pedestrians along Hollywood Boulevard. What are they doing, you ask? Why, they begin camouflaging their “patrol car” with faux trees and vines, and carefully measure out white tape and lay it out on the pavement…They are not so secretly setting a “speed trap” for the well-being of those traveling the boulevard. They even produce a sign that verifies this.

The Citizens of Hollywood – ‘No Biz Like Showbiz’
http://parksandresorts.wdpromedia.com/media/disneyparks/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/coh123654SMALL.jpg
“Please! No pictures, darling…” commands Miss Dorma Nesmond, the self-proclaimed greatest movie star in the universe, while striking an elegant pose for the camera. Miss Nesmond is escorted down Hollywood Boulevard by the charming Chef Ben Appetit, Caterer to the Stars, and the ever-so-chatty director, Vladimir Pooey. Says Vladimir, “If you have seen one of my movies, you’ve seen Pooey!”

The Citizens of Hollywood – ‘Public Works’
To quote Hollywood Public Works crew member Filmore Buckets, “When you can’t see it, it’s invisible!” Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was packed with laughter today as this zany troupe of oddball characters put on a memorable laugh-out-loud skit. Foreman Rusty had his work cut out for him, trying to contain the madcap crew as they deployed gag after gag. Filmore announced that he was also a Raccoon Ranger, and proudly showed off his vest and raccoon kerchief.

As the crew began their slow drive back to the shop, who is peering out the car window? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you none other than Frederick of Hollywood. Hysterical.

The Citizens of Hollywood – ‘Wannabes and Has-Beens’
http://parksandresorts.wdpromedia.com/media/disneyparks/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/dan584214SMALL.jpg
As you stroll down Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will encounter an array of talented street performers along the way, always re-inventing themselves for your camera. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Alberto Dante! Often imitated but never nominated. “Action! No! Cut!! No! Action!”

And the drama plays out right in front of everyone, including the two actresses above – Miss Cynthia Bloom, Hollywood’s full bouquet of talent, together with the not-so bright starlet Evie Starlight. In her own words, “Sometimes it takes me a long time to remember my name…”

The Citizens of Hollywood – ‘Star Power, Live and In Person’
You will be amazed at the variety of talent that you will encounter along Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, from the oh-so-dramatic wannabe Mimi Kaboom to the “been there, done that” veteran Tallulah Frutti, both charming in their own ways.

If you happen upon that colorful Hollywood Talent Agent Jack Diamond as he sets a card table onto the pavement, you are in for a dazzling display of card tricks and sleight of hand. He’s really good! They say, “If you haven’t become famous in Hollywood, it’s because you don’t know Jack!”

And now, the crème de la crème, a face (and voice) you will never forget- the #1 Cleaning Lady to the Stars and self-professed Marilyn look-alike, ROSIE! “Today is my 23rd birthday – I’m a hot potato!” Sidebar…(Gentlemen – Be very cautious when approaching Rosie – she LOVES to smooch.) And thatsalotoflipstick!

Even the richest man in Hollywood, Shelby Mayor, and Ready Freddy Fiddlesticks, Hollywood’s next big star, take a back seat to one of the four original electric runabouts Walt Disney commissioned in 1959 at Disneyland. Who knew? Talk about rich history.
