Look at your notification on the top of the page...maybe you'll have the explanation.
It happened to me at the beginning too....looks like my post were irrelevent or posted too close next to each others etc....
As I said look into you notifications, and maybe you'll have a message that explains everything.

Welcome! Like clement said above, posts that are irrelevant, extremely short, add nothing to the discussion, or posted too close together can be deleted at the mods' discretion. There are often problems with people trying to raise their post count quickly so they can get into the trading/selling area more quickly. I'm not saying you're doing this at all, but the mods have to keep it consistent across the board, regardless of motive.

Your post have not been deleted the reason why you think they are is b/c you have posted in some areas onthe boards where post don't count towards your total. Forums like the Welcome section, CYO and Collectors showcase don't count toward your post count.

Thanks for the insight. I was in now way trying to increase my count just for the purpose of trading. I just wish there was a way the mods could of kept my post even if they were/are irrelevant but not count it toward my post count.

Most of your posts that were deleted were because they were discussing trading/selling outside of the trading/selling section.

On a side note, it is annoying when you first start on the forum when a moderator (or several) deletes your posts and/or gives you a warning or whatever it's called when you were just trying to "blend in" and were giving your thoughts in one of the posts....
You're suspected of upping your post counts when in fact sometimes you just want to give your opinions on several matters.... and if you have an hour to spend on the forum, sure your posts are close to each others.....
However when you have a post count of 1000+, as I've seen, no one seems to care if you just post : "Yeah !"
I got over that but that was very frustrating at first.... ;-)

I noticed that too. Don't worry. After I while, you will be addicted to this site 24/7, and your post count will increase in no time! Welcome!

This has been addressed before in the thread concerning the 50 posts rule but I'll go ahead and address it again here.

Yes- members with more than 50 posts who posts short comments that may not necessarily contribute to the thread don't have their posts deleted often (unless they are clearly trying to 'spam' for one reason or another). Most members usually do not make it a habit to posts this way. Also, they have already qualified for the trade/sell section, so what reason would they have to up their post count?

Contributing 50 posts gives the new member the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community. It is not much to ask that these posts be meaningful, and you don't have to write a novel to contribute to the threads. But will anyone get to know you if all you posted was "Yeah I can't wait." "Paint drip's my favorite" "This is cool."? Posts of this nature doesn't tell me, "I love vinylmations and can't wait to enjoy talking about it with others." It sort of screams, "You just need 50 posts to trade and sell vinyls? That's easy as pie."

The rule was made for this reason (quote from the other thread):

The VN forums are first and foremost a discussion board to talk with other Vinylmation collectors. We never intended for it to be a place to come, sell your stuff and leave. Not only does this not contribute anything to the community, but the potential of a scammer coming in and ripping people off is much greater without rules in place that require a few guidelines before participating in trading or selling activities. Obviously, we can't always keep out dishonest people, but with everyone's cooperation and help we can have a pretty awesome percentage of helpful members.

Qualifying for the trade/sell section isn't hard. And really, many new members have been successful at this with no problems, no infractions and no posts being deleted.

We all were new once, and so we appreciate and welcome new members here. That's the only way this site will continue to grow. All we ask is that new members respect the rules and the reasons behind these rules.

Hope this helps clear things up for you

Sorry about that. I don't mind those being deleted, but ones that were deleted were comments towards other members additions and what not. I'm morte upset that a post was deleted and not the actual post count. Like I mentioned before if there were/is a way to leave comments and not affect post counts that would be better. Thanks for the clarification.
