Correction: The haunted mansion really opened, August 9, not September 9, so you're about a month late in the greeting :) haha

The 9/9/09 event was just selected because it was a great time to market it.

You know what's even funnier, not only did they decide to celebrate Disneyland's Haunted Mansion 40th Anniversary a month late, but they celebrate it 09/09/2009 and then tomorrow its closed for Holiday Decorations :rofl::rofl::rofl: A little surprised they decided to close it down on 09/10/2009 during the D23 conference too...Closed from 09/10/2009 to 09/24/2009, at least that is what it states on the Disneyland calendar
