They released a 9" Matterhorn figure on the Facebook site today. Not sure if anyone else caught this or posted a thread on it. Very awesome looking and can't wait to see the back.

I'm pretty sure this hasn't been released, correct? Possibly Park 6 9"?

Looks cool, its a very simple design. I hope the Yeti is on the back somewhere, the monster eyes on the front doesn't cut it for me.

I really like it! I think the only thing I would have changed is to have disney characters riding the ride instead of random people- I would have loved them to incorporate minnie and mickey that way- otherwise, I think they did pretty well with it! :)

The back just has the opposite side of the mountain, with the ride's logo on the body.

I have to agree with most of the people here it is pretty disappointing, and Haunted thanks for pointing out the eyes they are SOOOO small you almost miss them , I did until you said you seen them, this one I have to say they missed the boat on, sorry Disney were you asleep at the board???? This is not up to the par of the others out there I hope they are not running out of ideas. I too would have loved to have see characters on the ride instead of random people. So not cute. Sorry.

I think the parts with an actual design are good, but there's just too much empty space in my opinion.

I agree. I would've loved to have a little Mickey riding rides series (like Space Mountain) :)

Thanks for the picture, I didn't even see this! I agree with those of you suggested they should have used Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie riding the ride. That would have been AWESOME!! If it was, I definitely would have to buy it, but luckily for my wallet's sake, I'm going to have to pass on this one.

Overall, I like it. I agree with a lot of the points here, and I think the top of the mountain should go up into the ear to use the ear space and provide more detail, but I think it is fitting for the ride.

I do agree there is a lot of empty space on this one and the artist missed the opportunity to put Disney characters on the vinyl instead of random people. But I still like it because it kinda reminds me of the retro Matterhorn posters (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/04/new-retro-inspired-tees-featuring-the-matterhorn-and-the-flying-saucers-have-landed/).

If this Vinylmation is from Park series 6 then why do they quote "from a future Vinylmation™ Park series. We stress "future." ? I mean we are on Park series 5 already 6 is just around the corner I mean early next year of course :shrug:

I'm guessing this is because they haven't releases any Park 5 9" yet They probably receive tons of questions about the release dates for Park 5 and don't want to create any confusion...and want to keep their options open.

i like what this "could" have been. it looks like the design wasn't finished. i agree with the characters being on it would have been awesome, i just wish it would have been more the spirit of the matterhorn and the signage and history of that ride are iconic, this just looks like it was slapped together. it could have been so much more. if the ride logo is on the back, i'll definitely be displaying this one backwards.

I have this problem with a lot of vinyls. I've only ever been to Disney World, so anything from Disney Land I either don't recognize or feel a connection with.

You need to go at some point. We were veterans of WDW and went to DLR last year for the first time, and it has easily become the favorite for our entire family. We will not hesitate to return. The whole Disney culture seems to flow so much better at DLR. Plus you get all the history and perspective of the rides, along with (IMO) a much better Downtown Disney.

This is going to be a buy for me when it comes out. My boyfriend and I ride the matterhorn EVERY time we're at the park. Even if we're at the park 'just to trade' we always make an excuse to go ! I recently saw this in the D-street window outside and it was really well done!
