Someone on eBay is doing a presale for Holiday figures with FRIDAY, SEPT 11 as the release date .... I've searched the threads and cannot find confirmation of that date .... does anyone know for sure? Also, I assume the usual stores will have them?

Disney has not confirmed a date yet for these, so there is no official release date known at this time.
However, it is widely speculated that the series may debut at D23 Expo this weekend and then see a wider release the following weekend at WDW and DLR. That is all just speculation at this time, though.

I'd like to know also.....I did see on ebay that someone in Florida already has a case for sale(in hand)? Wondered where he got them from?

I posted in the Holiday thread, but should also post here...
It should be confirmed in the morning that it will be Thursday. We're just trying to get confirmation on the rumored price increase. All questions should be answered tomorrow afternoon.

Asked at WDW DTD AOD yesterday and they said they should have them by the 11th, but this weekend there were a couple places that had 3" holiday out on the shelves allready, the Contemporary, and also at the Pin traders at DTD. I picked up a case on Sunday, no 9" though.

Hallelujah!
I was actually at Downtown Disney on Sunday but never even thought to go into Pintraders as I'm not a pin collector. Man, I wish I had gone in.

Thats cool that they are out already. I guess they wont be doing
the announcements on the AOD web site like they have done in the past.
I kind of liked that.
The best news of all.....NO price increase :happy:

We can confirm 100% that they will be released on Thursday and there will NOT be a price increase. $9.95 will be the cost.
About them being released early, a few places accidentally put them out early, but they were quickly pulled once they realized the mistake.

Just wanted to comment on your piece above from your previous post, I believe the last time Urban Series 2 was released everybody in the Vinylmation community (1) Either already new the release date (2) I believe some where released early like this past weekend before they updated their website with the release date. Planning and Scheduling hasn't been one of Disney's strongest assets over the many years since I was pin trading in early 2000...As you can see, The MNSSHP Candy Corn wasn't ready on time which was already communicated a long time ago that it may not be ready, they haven't announced where to purchase D23 NOAH for the D23 conference only had the 3" Black and Gold information, and now again they haven't finalized the release date for Holiday Series #1. Unfortunately, People who are local and are hard core collectors sometimes re-arrange their work schedule or as someone posted take the day off to obtain these collector items, and if they don't have a solidified date for releases it can throw a wrench in some plans. Just a reality of life I guess with Disney planning and scheduling, not that its a good thing but not much we can do they have to do these things better...

Just to follow up with the question from Mesaguy, how do people get the vinyls before they are released?

It was realsed by mistake at various locations. They have since been pulled once they became aware of the errors.

Well, I will most likely be spending a lot of money at the Expo on Thurs. I'm hoping to get a D23 vinyl, several holiday vinyls and hopefully Jack or Skeleton Dance 9".
