Was going through the Trade city pics and I noticed this vinyl that wasn't mentioned..... Is this going to be the Urban #5 combo pack? Could anyone elaborate?

Yes it will be. They are going to do a series of mickey's with the Urban's too. I am sorry I do not know the name for it.

I believe the ones on the Urban series are being referred to as "Tonal Mickeys" and they're going to do a bunch of them in different colors.
There is some discussion about it in the Trade City thread...

Definitely. It will probably help them sell faster. After all, U2 is still on shelves- that just shows you how Urban vinyls sell.

I especially like the Tonal Mickey's, by the way at first i thought that it was going to be tuxedo mickey, but Tonal Mickey's are definitley awesome, so is sorcerer mickey :)

Really like these combo packs too. Looks like I'll have to buy an urban now, usually just trade for the ones I like. It is smart marketing on disney part.

i am right there with you, i think that it is so neat how Disney knows what everybody wants, like adding a special figures to vinylmation (chaser) and now the neat combo packs. I think that it is so amazing, it is like they are mind readers :lol:

I love the combo pack idea since it lets you blind box + 1 you know you want. I thought when they did Plane Crazy is was to help sell sets that were not selling fast enough on their own. It seems like now they know we love to buy the combo sets!

Question from a newbie, what is the cost of a combo pack compared to the single blind boxes?

I noticed when I bought my Nightmare figures they were more expensive. I just assumend that was beacuse they were not in a blind box.

Im not here trying to ride the hype of the combo packs cuz i try and only buy what i like. And a quick question what is this figure thats coming with the urban 5 combo pack? i cant really tell what it is.

I didn't quite know at first until someone pointed out that it's a "Brown Tonal Mickey"!
Apparently Disney's releasing a series of these tonal Mickeys....next one will be Red.

I can't remember exactly, but I've heard at least 3-5 people on here say the next one will be red. Maybe it was discussed at Trade City?? I'm not sure, but I know I've heard that a few times on VN.

It is an Urban design. With the Urban vinyls, the designs are not necessarily taken from anything having to do with the parks or animated movies/shorts. They are just artistic expressions that the artists have come up with. Look at Urban 5, one is based on a lava lamp, one is based on a punk rock design, and one is an argyle design. Nothing having to do with Disney at all. The tonal Mickey's are just another idea an artist had.

I can see these "tonal mickeys" being... not that popular (sort of like the clear series) unless perhaps it was your favourite colour. I think they could have been a bit more creative, such as (because this series combo is brown) mickey made up of brown items, leaves, chocolate, bears etc... Plus with the price increase people are less likely to buy a "plane" design, however I would happily pay (and have) for the combo in the Park series, understandably they're two different series but character and creativity can still be added to both.

I'm not sure I like the color for the tonal. I'll have to see it in person before I buy it. I'm looking forward to the other colors. Too bad they change colors with a new set. It would be neat to have a variety of colors to choose from with the combo pack from Urban 5.

They will be online on the 24th along with the Park 5 combo pack according to Steven Miller....here is what he said

@Lauren – I spoke with the On-Line Store team. They said that both the Park #5 and Urban #5 combo packs should be available on November 24. I stress should as they are always chances there could be delays. But they are coming.
