Trade City Bird & Tree set update

While at trade city I asked Disney to refund my RSP item for the bird and tree set, and then charge me when the item becomes available. And I posted before that I got 3 credits to my credit card. Each credit was for the amount of the Bird & Tree set.

So just as Disney promised they charged my credit card again today.

I have 3 other very interesting things going on with the Bird & Tree set that I will post in a day or so.

I checked on mine that I'm expecting too. When I called event services they said everything still showed that they were due to come in on 9/23 so I'm hoping for this week... we'll see! I did order an extra set that I might be trading.

I called this morning WDW event services and talk to one of the cast members. She said they are in and processing them to ship out. Hopefully we will see them before the end of next week!

Yep, it's a worm... I talked with Lisa Badeen at Trade City about this set - she was so excited about it, but incredibly bummed that it wasn't ready for the event! She confirmed that cute little guy is a worm!

Yes, there was just the 2 designs which are really great! Really made me happy so I didn't have to go and try to find additional designs.

A follow up to your side note. Well that is a shame about the credit/re-charge. Because when they credited me and then re-charged me they didn't charge me any sales tax. It was like a typical MO sale, ie no sales tax.

You always say you are joking when your comments come off as a snide or negative comment, and that we just don't get your humor. I thought he was just agreeing with you and was stating his view of how his transaction was handled. It's nice that you found a way to save some $$ with Event Services crediting/recharging your card, but personally I really did not want anything to happen that would hinder my transaction, and Ghost Host seemed to feel that his was fine too. So can we move on or do you feel the need to beat the dead horse some more??

UPS has tried to deliver 2 days now but disney sent it out needing a signiture, and when they try today if i miss them they are going to send it back, i work all day and cant be there, just dont understand Disney needing signiture for delivery, who knows if i will ever get it

Normally, UPS makes 3 attempts....then they send you a postcard in the mail and give you a chance to pick it up at the UPS location before they send it back. You could always try calling UPS and see if you can pick it up rather than having them deliver it.

I missed it the first day and they left a piece of paper on the door saying I could sign the back of it and they'd leave the package the next day. I did that and just got it today. Hopefully you could check into that.

After the 3rd attempt UPS will leave it at there place and you have a certain amount of days to pick it up if you don't pick it up during that timeframe then they will return it to Disney. If they have yet to send it three times you could call UPS and have them send it to your work place. UPS will allow you to change the shipping address but its a one time only deal.

I got my sets last week. I also sign the back of the slip for them to leave and they didn't leave it. They just put a new slip on the door. I was able to run down the driver that afternoon and asked him why he didn't leave the package. He said he had to have a signature. Then the box was crushed on one side. I made him note it was crushed. One of the boxes was crushed but I needed to take mine out of the box so it was OK.

The Jrs are really cute. You can remove the 3" without damaging the package. I'm still undecided about how to display these. I think the box really adds a nice touch and compliments the set. What I may end up doing is removing the Jrs, keep the 3" in the box and just display the Jrs right in front of it.

I have the set, and for someone who is not into Cutester type vinyls, I LOVE it. As stated above, there are two 3" vinyls, one of a blue bird and one of a tree, two Jr's, one of a chick hatching from an egg and one of a worm, and a pin that matches the 3" bird. Beautiful work, and a great deal for 4 figs and a pin.

$54.95 and I would be surprised if it lasted that long but keep checking back as other members report what is left at D-Street.

I got mine today after two tries. I bought the set and couldn't wait to get home to display them. The packaging is a bit severe. The 4 little guys are litterally cramm'ed into the formed clear plastic. I got them out though and put them on a shelf and they put a big smile on my face. Well i walked past them a few times then was like - Hey! There is something wrong here. I took the little 1 1/2" cracked egg and OMG, he had no arms! ARMLESS i tell you! I felt so sorry for him. So I had to drive back and trade it for another set and checked it before I left. So watch out for armless little guys! I'll post pics tomorrow. I doing a little special something for them. And as far as quantity, the CM told me they only got in a bit over 100 over them.

I didn't take pics of the armless guy. I didn't want to embarrass him! But I did a little something special for the replacement set. Have to wait for the glue to dry on the accessory. ;-)
