I've never been to Busch Gardens, is it worth it? How long does it take to get there from Disney? How long do you need to do everything there?

Sorry, lots of questions, they used to advertise it on the TV over here a while back and I always wanted to go. :D

form disney its about i think a hour and half but it is worth it if you go in the middle of the week it shouldn't take you to long but is pretty big but would seem kinda small compared to the disney but its a pretty large place. with this place you are roller coaster fan or you like animals. busch gardens Africa aka tamby bay have some best coasters in the world like kumba which was one B&M's first looping coasters made back in 93' and brought ost of elements you see on looping rides all over the world. montu is the inverted coaster which was the tallest and fastest of its kind in 96' i think. sheikra is america's first dive coaster. it is without a doubt one of the beautiful parks and all areas of the park match the African theme of the park including the rides.before i carried away with this busch gardrens would be the thrilling counter parts of animal kingdom because of the coasters which are must rides imo

I love Busch Gardens but if it rains you are outta luck since everything is outside.

We live about eight minutes from Disney (and ten minutes from the airport) and we can be to Busch Gardens in about 45 minutes. I'm a really cautious and paranoid driver, so if I'm able to get there that quickly most people should have no problem either.

I know your question has kinda already been answered but it is about 1 hour from Disney. It is definitely worth going to see! If you pay to take on of the Safari tours thats really neat too, I've done it a few times. It would take about a day to see everything and like Sledge said If it rains its horrible cause every attraction is outside. We had some friends come in from out of the country and the days we took them it rained and all the rides were closed. Also, Are there any picture requests for the next time I go?

Is the tiger exhibit behind glass?
From the picture it looks like it is :(

I havent been there in years but I am interested in Jungala.
Is it worth it for somebody that does NOT ride coasters?
Are there enough things to do without riding?

personally if you are talking about busch gardens as a whole yes there's still a lot to do without the coasters you can look at animals and feed birds and play tug of war wth a tiger in Jungala you can and the kids can play all over the place and there are still a lot animal shows to watch. if you are talking about Jungala without ridin the wild surge(kiddie drop ride that shoots out of a waterfall)which really is the only ride over in that area you mainly can look at the white tigers and monkeys play with their toys and what not like the tug of war the tiger(i almost beat him/her too) its pretty exciting to me because of the playful interaction that you are getting with the animals is more of conncetion you and animal which just priceless but that's my opinion

Like some random guy said there is a ton to do for people who dont like coasters. I dont like some of them and only a few at BG. They have some cool shows like Katonga and Congo River Rapids is fun too. They also have Jungala which again is great interaction with animals but the tigers are behind glass in most parts and some parts they are in a ditch under you while you are on the bridge! It is a really great experience. If you want any specific pictures next time I go this week I can take some for you. Just let me know. :)

I went to the park today and got some good shots but they turned out a bit blurry, I will be going there a lot this summer though so look out for more.

I was at Busch last week, Jungala is very cool the tiger area is very neat and then there is the tiger pop up. Busch is a very nice park and very clean to be 50 years old. The rides are really nice and the shows are well done Katonga is a must see. The interesting thing is how Busch is such a perfect lay out for there Halloween event as there are numerous natural areas for people to hide.

Sheikra is a must for anyone who loves coasters. Montu is probably the best suspended coaster I have ever been on. The employees are very friendly and there food is very good. The down side is Tampa has to be the most Humid City in the world you sweat like a Whore in Church during HOS. Then there is what is outside the gate, sadly Busch was built on the outskirts of Tampa and Now it is the Hood. Don't recommend staying at a Hotel to close to Busch. i have a number of pictures I posted on myspace page www.myspace.com/tiredoldspook from my trip to Busch first week of June.

I forgot to add that if anyone noticed that wasn't Rock A Doo Wop's normal venue. It is usually in the Marrakesh Theater but for Summer Nights it is being performed in the Stanleyville Theater, where I took the pictures at.

Most of the people in the shows double over and do the Night shows at HOS. They have some talented people , there shows are really nice Katonga is really amazing for a non Disney park.

I'm hoping to get down to Busch Gardens during my trip in October. It's been a few years since I've been there.
