Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days!

I'm super excited for this game. It comes out on September 29th. I've played through all the previous games: Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (both the PS2 and GBA versions), and Kingdom Hearts 2. This is my most anticipated game of the year. Anyone else as crazy about KH as I am?:happy:

I saw the preorder slip at Target. I loved the other two as well. What is the significance of the 358/2 days? Do you know?
And is this just for DS or console? The one I saw was for DS I think.

I'd be a lot more excited if it were going to be available for PS3. I like the original, but not enough to buy a DS for this one.

Yeah, I am sort of in the same boat as everybody else since I read this is only coming out for the Nintendo DS...I wish they would come out with it for the Nintendo WII, although hopefully when Kingdom Hearts III comes out soon they will have it for that console.

KH: Chain of Memories is a great game (the GBA one). The gameplay is A LOT different from the PS2 games, but still pretty interesting. The story also fills in a lot of gaps between KH1 and KH2.

Yeah, the lineup for KH games as of know is: KH: 358/2 Days (DS), KH: Coded (cell phone:shrug:), and then KH: Birth by Sleep (PSP). I too lament not having a PSP...I'll have to figure out some way to purchase one so that I can play it.

There isn't much news out there for KH3, but it is supposed to be for the PS3...but I do think a Wii game would be pretty amazing.

Even though I don't have a DS anymore, I think it's cool they keep making KH games for various systems. I'm really looking forward to KH Birth by Sleep for the PSP. I'm also hoping they release a KH3 for the PS3 someday too.

Sweet! I haven't pre-ordered mine yet! I'm totally going to use that.

I have the PS2 version of KH:CoM, and it isn't very different from the GBA game. Everything is the same...except on the PS2. It's fun to play on a big screen, and in my opinion worth playing.

I've been playing this game pretty much nonstop since I got it. It's INCREDIBLE!!! I highly recommend that anyone and everyone interested in the series grab a copy. Definitely one of the best games ever created for the DS. The graphics kick butt, the game play rocks, and the story fills in a lot of blanks that were missing between KH, KH:CoM and KH: II. AMAZING!!!

I'm still waiting for them to make even ONE of these games available on the PC. I don't really play a lot of games, certainly not enough to justify the expense of a console, but it seems once a year there's a game I'd like to play, if only they'd release it for PC gamers...

If I had DS I would be all over this, never played any of the other ones but loved the idea of Disney characters in a more adult game.

So what does everyone think about the game. Takes a while to get to any Disney elements. This is the first kingdom hearts game I have ever played. It's pretty fun. Will have to see where the story goes

Surprised at the number of people who played this as their first Kingdom Hearts game. KH is a bit convoluted as it is, and the lack of context for 358/2 would remove much of the appeal I'd think.

I started the 358 a little bit today while waiting for my son to go through surgery.
I can say the first 2 were way better imho.
I do like it though,it's "ok"

Give it some more time. KH1 and KH2 will always be better than the side story releases, but 358/2 really takes a bit to get going, and to get used to the ability system, which I hated at first but came to appreciate. I'm just glad they went with basically classic controls instead of struggling to integrate a lot of touch.

The last Zelda DS game did as well but I liked that one much more, FWIW. Which feels weird because all the reviews said they thought Spirit Tracks was far superior to Phantom Hourglass.

Its amazing how far the series has come as a hole. I remember when the first one came out and people made fun of me for buying it. Look at how popular it has become.
